I couldn't even get through the whole article. That poor girl.

Man, i've walked into the city(sober though) a few times at night alone. It's not safe and i'm never doing that again. Unless someone meets me while I park my car and walks me to the car until I leave.
NY has gotten shitty again. Mayor Gulliani(sp?) cleaned it up so much, that crimes went down. It's gone up again. And there's def. more bums out there again. Ugh ugh ugh.
And this freaking ex-con. What's the deal? Why is this fuckface walking around NY if he had been charged more than once??! WTF?! This shit pisses me off.![]()

Ugly. Ugly. Ugly.
I wish I could understand the WHY's of stuff like this. Joe tells me all the time, "There are no Why's, Laura, Just evil."
How sick/crazy/evil would you have to be to not only do something like that to someone, let alone just sit there and watch some you "love" do it....??
how devastating for the family.. my prayers are with them...
Oh my god that's horrible. That poor girl. Stupid sick fucks.
I believe you Dottie and you have my support
i cant imagine what her last moments were like......gosh there r some sick freaks in this world
I love how they describe what she's wearing, a black halter top and miniskirt, so prissy people can know that she "deserved it" and was "attracting negative attention."

I usually don't hang out at night in NYC when I'm on vacation, there's so much to do during the day. Obviously enough this poor girl did not have the best of friends. That other bitch shouldn't have been drinking knowing that she had to drive back home. Now I wonder how she feels now that her friend has been murdered.
Its a terrible situation alright. A good example of what can happen when one gets all high and shit.
This is tragic and in no way am I suggesting Jennifer deserved what happened to her nor what happened to Imette St. Guillen but --
Young women - all women - need to understand that it's a very bad idea to be intoxicated and wandering the streets of New York (or anywhere) the wee hours of the night. There are predators just waiting for an opportunity to strike.

I'm surprised the ambulance didn't want to take her along because no one else knew her sick friend.
I won't say I've never walked in Manhattan at 3 or 4 am but I have to agree it's not the best idea in deserted areas by either river. I wish she had just come back in toward Broadway where the cabs are. You can't even get a cab where she was because they don't want to stop on deserted-ass West Side Highway. This guy should be beaten to death.
^^^supposedly the girl wandered off BEFORE the ambulance got there. possibly because she didn't want to get into trouble for underage drinking, or who knows???

There is nothing like a good pounding for someone to learn to give the ole squinty eye at someone on first meeting.
Luckily, most of the time in youth, the ass kickin hurts but isn't overly damaging or fatal. That changes when people become adults. They just become stronger and people get fatter.
One day, I was coming out of a gas station with my mom and she was watching a group of young guys on the side of the road. They were animated, gold chains, and talking to each other - but harmless enough. I asked her who was more dangerous?
The group or this guy walking up the side of the road?
She pointed out the group of guys simply talking to each other.
I pointed to the lone guy and said "He has a jacket over both of his hands - I don't know what he is carrying." (He was walking hands clasped in front with the jacket looped over them.)
It was interesting to see who women perceive as dangerous and who men perceive as dangerous.

That scares me most because when I was 14 - 19 I would hop the train to the city and party. Every weekend I would sneak down, often taking my (then) girlfriend or a female friend.

And his stupid ass jumped into a van(bc there were cute guys in there, not a smart idea of him either) and left me walking alone to my car. Which was a long walk. I felt so unsafe w/o him. I yelled at him when he got to my car. I was about to leave his ass there for doing that.

Yeah. She didn't want to get caught.Originally Posted by fancygirl
It seems like the way society works these days - it is getting more and more dangerous.
When I was a kid, my parents could always tell me "the house to stay away from." These days, I really couldn't do that! People hardly know or look out for their neighbor's anymore.
Places like Washington D.C. - well known for being dangerous - people aren't allowed to carry guns, get hassled over knives, and have to register their mace/pepperspray and what have you. Meanwhile the cops drive by in cars with the window's rolled up (this is why I like bicycle cops - they know more about what is going on out there) in every major city.
It seems to be more and more a strip the weak and innocent of self-protection and then throw the wolves out.
There are some major major problems in america and it isn't gay marriage.

that is so sadi can't even begin to imagine what she went through.

Yep - she gonna get some jail time.

And this is why I want to be a prosecutor...to put people (if one can use the word "people" to describe such depraved souls) like that away.
