    Default Going to Vegas!

So my groovey boyfriend is taking me to Vegas for my 35th birthday this year. I've never been and am very excited. It's actually the first time i've been away without the kids (not counting the alternate weekends they spend with thier dad).

Anyhow it's my first real vacation and my first time there and i'm wondering what people suggest I see/do while we're there.

He's been there a bunch of times and i'm sure has lots planned but i'd still love the input!

Enjoy your 35th! Are you looking to relax while there or go a little crazy?

It all depends on what you're interested in doing and what you're budget is. Honest to God though anymore, despite what LV is best known for, you can have fun in that town and not gamble a nickel.

And some of the best attractions are free, like walking the strip and taking pictures/video of the hotels. All I can say is bring good walking shoes. You're gonna need them.

Welcome to my home town! First of all, assuming you'll be coming in the summer, bring sun-block. You'll most likely be doing a bit of walking outside and it's been north of 110 degrees lately. I was out at Lake Mead last weekend and it was 122 outside with about 70% humidity. Also, bring VERY comfortable shoes to wear. You will literally be walking miles and miles every day and not even realize it. Also, if you are planning on seeing a show, make reservations in advance. Some shows in Vegas sell out months in advance so do some shopping on entertainment ahead of time or you'll wind up missing out. If there is anything that catches your eye in that department let me know and I can make some suggestions to you.

Throw out a few ideas as to what you're looking at doing and I might be able to help with a few suggestions.

LOL! Wasn't that the funniest shit ever? I was disappointed as to how lame all the rips were though... so unoriginal. *sigh* Seriously though, that site cracks me up.

Um, back on topic, I think we're aiming for a mix of relaxing and as much deviancy as we can fit in, er I mean fun! In all honesty I think no matter what we end up doing it'll be great. Just getting a such a big chunk of time with him is all it takes to make me happy (gag I know).

*I'm already 35, my birthday was the 16th

Happy belated birthday! Your boyfriend sounds like an awesome guy...can I borrow him? LOL j/k I believe that most taxis in Vegas have free guidebooks that have suggestions for restaurants, strip clubs, theatre, etc. I would grab one of those and pick out stuff you'd like to do. I would definitely hit at least one strip club just to see what Vegas strip clubs are like. The Rhino is a really good one. Definitely walk down the strip and as was mentioned before, bring comfy shoes. You'll do a lot more walking than you realize.

I'm jealous-I love Vegas and I can't wait to go back! Have a great trip!
