I've got a few options and I'm have such a hard time figuring out what I wantSo I've just finished my second year at UC Riverside as a Language major. I want to go to grad school, but a "language" major doesn't turn into any grad school program directly.. I could do Comparative lit, or Linguistics, but it would be hard to get into those programs because they're not what I'll have my BA in.
Simple answer would be to change my major to linguistics (I love the field), but alas, UCR has no linguistic major. UCLA, however, has a wonderful linguistics department, as well as a grad program in linguistics.
The tricky part is that I've got a full scholarship at UCR. I could transfer to UCLA (and changing majors so late into my BA would mean I would probably have an extra year or so of classes to complete), but I would suddenly have to pay my own tuition, and move out to LA. I love LA, I drive out there all the time to see my friends, and my boyfriend goes to UCLA, too. Is it worth giving up my scholarship?
Also, I'd have to find a good club out there. I guess that wouldn't be too difficult. Sigh.. I don't know what to doI should just be able to make this decision myself... Urgh.
