Cardio (45 mintues a day) 6 days a week and I lift weights 4 days a week.![]()
I love The Firm series. It's basically aerobics with weights and there are tons of different workouts to choose from in various lenghts and intensity. When I do it as often as I should, I get tons of compliments.
Monday - lower body strength training (60 min with personal trainer)
Tuesday - cardio (50 min)
Wednesday - upper body strenth training (60 min with personal trainer)
Th, Fr, Sun - cardio (50 min)
Saturday....shopping at the mall
Plus I don't count it, but I work 6 nights a week and I walk my dogs for 2 miles every day.
damn girl!!! I used to have a regimen pretty much exactly like that... i did a little bit more weights though.. I am such a slacker now.... I go mabye 3 times a week and run for 30 min and do weights on all.. Emily I need motivation big time... I even have a fitness center at my apt!!! what is wrong with me..Originally Posted by Emily
my motivation comes only because I have a personal trainer. I couldn't do it on my own. I've tried.
Personal motivation.
I rotate 4 strength building workouts 2 days of pure cardio and 1 day of rest.
Workout 1
Workout 2
Workout 3
Workout 4
I blew out my knees by doing too much jogging so I was off it for a while, I just got back into it, I do about 4 miles a day now, 4 to 5. I'm too light as it is. I'm down to 153 :/
People are not ruled by their memories.
same here. I'm a lazy ass. I am trying to get into a routine with more cardio though. I work with my trainer three times a week, try to do pilates twice a week (but usually don't) and say I'm going to go walking but never really do. I was thinking about joining another gym that has some organized classes so I can get in more cardio.my motivation comes only because I have a personal trainer. I couldn't do it on my own. I've tried.
Weight-training six days a week. Half-hour of cardio to warm up, then 45-60 mins of painfulness.
Monday-Legs
Tuesday-Back
Wednesday-Arms and Abs
Thursday-Off
Friday-Shoulders
Saturday-Chest
Sunday-Arms and Abs
I SWEAR by The Firm. It is a killer workout but I love how good it makes me feel.Originally Posted by twisterinAZ

For those of you who live in Philly.. any gyms around that are somewhat cheap? I dont think i can really REALLY get in shape without a trainer..but Im new to the area. this topic reminds me i need to workout more than i do, hah

i do a half hour of pilates 4-5 das a week. i walk a lot, both on the treadmill (45 minutes 4-5 days a week) and outside (15-45 minutes a few times day everyday) i was using the eliptical trainer for a bit, but i made my legs bulk up way too much.
i used to lift free weights 3 times a week. then i developed tendonitis in my elbow and had to stop. but it seems to be better, so i'll pick that up again.
plus i haul around bales of hay and water buckets at the barn on week days and clean stalls. ugh. i hate cleaning stalls![]()

I do a half hour workout with light weights about six days a week. I guess its not workout perse but I also go kayaking 3-4 days a week which also involves carrying the kayak up a 200 foot hill at the takeout and often biking the 8 mile shuttle.
