just tell her, she'll find out anyways if you r going to be in a magazine.....might as well be honest

Isnt people magazine just a regular (non-nude) magazine? What would be the big deal...?
Can you be more clear as to what magazine it is? The fact that you're hesitant to tell your mum makes us think it is nude, or about stripping. It's up to you, but I know that some dancers and adult models somehow manage to keep the truth of their careers from their families, if they have a good cover story. Does she need to know, or do you just want her to know, maybe worried she'll find out first?

Here in Australia People magazine along side with it's "sister" publication (image below) is a nationally distributed and pretty popular "adult men's magazine". My only question is are you a home girl (or similiar) or actually going to be featured in the magazine in some way (given a couple pages spread)...???
If you are just a "homie" (or similiar) then I wouldn't worry about it and only say something only if she brings it up first. Why? There are heaps of Home Girls and the magazine is weekly... you'll just be another face.
BTW, People and Picture magazines here in Australia show full nude no pink photos. The "explict" content is for the "premium" editions which are wrapped in plastic when sold at a newsagent. Pretty much every newsagent, 7Eleven, etc sells Picture and People "adult mens magazines".
I was a centerfold in one issue (People magazine) last year... http://musecube.com/goldcoastgirl/108123/

^^^^^Damn Girl!!!!!!! You look HOT in those pics!!!!

It's amazing what a good photographer, make-up artist and a little photo-shop can do.They only really photo-shopped below the waist as well as my birth mark. My birth-mark is usually on my upper left bum cheek
As for the "lightsabre" photos... that was thanks to the photographer. They were "muck around" shots we did at the end of the shoot which we didn't really think would make it... and they made it
