Does anybody else do it? I just went into business for myself... meaning, I fell of the 9-5 wagon (again) and bought a bunch of cleaning supplies and posted an ad on Craigslist. So far it's treating me reasonably well... I've had about 6 appointments in the last week and everyone is well-behaved and very generous. I've made more in the past week than I could have at a club, since it's slow season and I haven't danced at any of the local clubs, which means no regulars. 2 of my cleaning clients didn't even want me to clean, they just wanted the company. While the security present in clubs is of course absent in individuals' homes, I enjoy the fact that I don't have to go through as much trouble to get ready for "work" as I did when I was dancing, so it feels much more relaxed and casual. Those big yellow rubber gloves let me get away with not having a manicure... I hate having long fingernails, so that's probably my favorite part![]()
I had a few questions for anyone who does this, or could offer me any advice whether proven or theoretical.
-While I received over 100 responses to my ad, very few guys followed through. I am asking $100/hr for nude cleaning in heels with a few lapdances ("contact" cleaning). I do not offer extras, which I make very clear in my ad, but I permit the guys to jerk off while watching me clean if they want to (I've worked as a lingerie model, so I'm a seasoned and indifferent jerkoff veteran). Now, my price sounds fair to me, but what do you think? Am I charging too much? I'm located in Florida, if this helps.
-What is the best way to get clients to follow the fuck through on appointments? I've had 2 "confirmed" clients who have canceled by way of flaking... not picking up their phones when I call to confirm right as I'm leaving, etc. I was thinking I should set up a PayPal account and take deposits, but I know nothing about the intricacies of such a thing (how to do it, how to deal with "on the books" money when tax time rolls around, etc.) I'm also concerned that doing so might scare away more clients than it attracts.
-Does anyone have any ideas for a low-budget advertising schtick other than Craigslist? The local weekly paper charges quite a bit to run an ad. Would you, however, say that it's worth it? Does anyone have any experience running a print ad for self-promotion?
-I also don't have a webpage, but would be open to getting one if I could afford it. I realize that this will be my greatest expense but potentially my most effective advertising tool. How great a priority would you say this is?
Thank you, smart ladies of the forum. I eagerly await your input.

I just, as I said, bought some supplies and posted on CL. However, I know that I don't have the time to run a legitimate business, because I am a full-time student. I was thinking that this gig would allow me the same freedom as stripping did (or as regular housecleaning might), what with the off-the-books nature of the gig. Don't misunderstand me... I am certainly considering legitimizing my business now that you've given me some pointers, but I don't feel that this is the right time to do it. I know you might disagree with me, and I only ask that you be gentle in your chiding.
