    Default The Descent

SUCKED MAJOR ASS!! And so did the that other movie starring that SNL comedian, the car racer.

Nothing good to watch this summer gotta say.

the descent really left me grateful for artificial night lighting, i can tell you that.

i think the american ending is better than the british one, though.

no, no, it wasn't a remake. it was just released in the uk months before its us release. they shortened the ending slightly for the american release. a lot of people feel the british ending is better because it's more overtly dark, but i prefer the american ending for its ambiguity.

Imagine that...Hollywood putting out dumpers. Who knew?

I don't remember the last good film I saw in a theatre.

LOL. The problem was everything else started at mid-night. We were there at 10ish. Not that many options. It was either that, my Ex GF, or some Disney flick.

LOL.. I would've picked a Disney movie over that rubbish. I also want to strangle whoever let him do that stupid commercial, where he's going "WOO!" constantly and plugging that crap movie.

    There's also The Cavern.

I heard that was almost the same as the Descent, although I've seen neither. There's actually no such thing as American Horror movies anymore, they're mostly from Japan, or other various remakes, such as the Descent. Some perfect examples are all of the Grudges, Rings, Dark Water and now Pulse, just to name a few. Those were all from Japan, they all came out a long time ago, and the Japanese versions are all better than the American versions.

the descent is not a remake of anything. it's a british horror-action film that was just recently released in america. also, unlike the cave, it is surprisingly plausible horror movie, with sensible explanations for its plot elements. but then, the movie thoroughly frightened me, so i'm biased towards deeming it pretty decent.

i especially like that it is an all-female horror film. it gives the film an interesting tone not possible with the usual mixed-gender casting in horror films.

I loved the Descent. I liked how it dealt with real fears before the "extra people" showed up. Cmon now: dark, caves, backstabbing, clasterphobia..what could be better? During the 2nd part was just cool with all the blood.

I saw the Brit version months ago b/c I have a friend who works for the movie studios. I have to go the other way and like the brit ending better. Im not for movie who let me guess the ending.

Also, Clerks 2 was best for those Kevin Smith fans.
