    Default Liver

Hey I just have a question. Does anyone know any good liver cleanses or anythng like that to make it a little more productive? I know I don't make any sense, hah. I just feel draggy and quite sick and I believe it has to do with the fact that I am taking a lot of percocet with acetaminophen for my headaches. I've read that you have to really watch your liver. Especially when you get as stressed out as I do, hah. And yesss I'm going to the doctor. I just wanted to try something non medicinal before I take another drug. Thanks!

Make sure your body gets all the vitamins it needs daily. All B vitamins (especially B12), antioxidants vitamins A, C, E, and alpha lipoic acid which is also a very powerfull antioxidant. Milk thistle is also definetly very good for the liver since it protects the liver from free radicals and toxins, heals and produces new liver cells, and procudes gluthione (most important antioxidant that the body produces). I also heard that whey protein increases the production of gluthione.
So yeah....all that should definetly help.

I know this is OT, but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE be careful with stuff like Percocet (In my case it was Vicodin) for headaches. I have chronic migraines and for a while the doc recommended Vicodin for them. Helped for a while, then stopped taking the headache pain away. By then, I was so addicted I insisted that they worked, even though they didnt. I would strongly suggest talking to your doc about another remedy DJ...your headaches will most likely become "immune" to the effects of Percocet, but by that time, you may already be addicted. It fucked up my life, be careful.

Um, yep, kinda sounds like what's happening to me. I know you aren't supposed to be on it for a long time, but he's had me on it since May. It was T3's before that. So I've had at my disposal 90 tabs which I take when i have headaches, and I've noticed I've been popping them when I need to take the edge off my stress. So yeah I am going to talk to my doctor about it today. I've already gone through withdrawal once which was hell so I guess I can do it again for the sake of my poor liver. Yargh.
