Skills/Techniques in hiding your profession from other people

I am still very new to dancing and needed some advice as to the best way to hide the fact that I am a dancer when dating or in a relationship.
I am really struggling with this, since being new to this business brings alot of nervousness as it is.
    Any advice would be great.
    Thx.

Don't. They'll find out anyway. Truth is good.

Just be yourself. Don't reveal to much to soon if you are not comfortable with the guy knowing that you are a dancer. The more you become comfortable with dancing the more of a comfort level you will have with yourself and what you are doing. Remember that this is a job and not a representation of who you are. I am sure you will be fine once you get over the nervousness of being new to the business. Good luck to you and welcome to this industry.

I'm with Siber on this one. You don't have to say that you are a dancer when you meet but I think sooner rather then later is a good idea. Just builds trust between the two people and if he reacts or starts to act all crazy when you tell him you saved yourself alot of time.

From my experience, small fibs work.
    1) Self-employment- I loved to say "babysitter" since I was "babysitting" grown men. Also, housecleaner, waitress, coat check girl, etc.....
    2) "Party Planner/ Entertainment Coordinator"- "I work at a club." Pretty much the truth.
    3) Learn how to change the subject very quickly! "So, how 'bout that game?" Etc. LOL

Now, I don't really approve of lying to/ hiding the truth from a potential romantic partner, but the choice is yours. I've had success cultivating a general aura of mystique (not in the context of relationships, mind you). "I'm in entertainment" is a phrase that works accordingly. If they ask what kind, you can say, "I'd prefer not to go into it, since part of my job involves protecting the identities of others." Not a lie, exactly... I mean, some of your custies don't want anyone to know where they were last night.

The more I think about it I think it is better to keep it from someone...since so many people have hang ups and misconeptions of girls who choose to go into this business.
Just recently I was seeing this guy ( who has no idea what I do) and he thought I was cheating with another guy , but I was at workI
I think just like learning this profession it takes skill in hiding it well.
