    Sad had a HORRIBLE dream!

so the night before last i had a dream, seemed very detailed too, that my dad got in a head on collision with another truck and died! ugh! i HATE death dreams!!!! Now i'm all nervous thinking he's gonna get in an accident on the way to/from work (he usually has at least a 1 hour drive, sometimes more). i woke up PANICKED. I even was sitting there debating on whether to call or to wait for a call...almost like it was real

OH! a few days before that, I had a dream that my mom decided to fly to IRAN! WTF! I was yelling at all the airline people trying to convince them that she must be nuts.. then I got REALLY pissed when I found out the ticket cost $1250! I was pissed cause it only would've cost her 300 to come see me! Then some dumbass "official" told me "oh, i got a luxery suite there for only $99 a night"..i was like, I really don't give a f*ck!" the next was her bday, so when i called her i told her about it, she though it was pretty funny. she swore she'd never go to iran over coming to see me and her grandbabies! lol

what is with my dreams lately! i've always been known for having very odd, vivid dreams, but good grief, the last week or so have been horrible! not one of the dreams have been good. i vagualy remember having one that someone was trying to kill me. no wonder i haven't been sleeping good! must be a full moon

My point of view is that if you feel like warning someone based on a dream, do it because a) it never hurts to be more cautious, and b) you'd feel like shit if you didn't warn them and something did happen.

If you have high detail, always provide a warning. These days if they know me well I will even warn with low detail. Sometimes dreams are not what they seem. www.dreammoods.com is a good place to start.

But, you also have to remember that your dreams are rarely about anyone else other than you. When you dream, you dream about other people because they have the "qualities" that your dream is trying to convey to you. At the same time, dreams can have several layers of meanings, so it's always important with these kinds of dreams to analyze them and do what you need to to feel better (warn people, etc).

But, no dream is specifically about someone else (or rarely is, anyways).

Come on! We live the 21st freakin' century! Humanity has invented stuff like lasers, computers and square fruits. Enough of this nonsense. Besides, as the Amazing Randy pointed out years ago: We count the "hits" (I dreamed of a plane crash, and the next day there was a plane crash!) and dismiss the "misses" (I dreamed of a plane crash, and the next day there wasn't a plane crash!).

Dreams are about you, not future events.

I had an awesome dream the other night. I'm going to try to retell it as best as I can. I document a lot of my dreams for my art when I have more of the time, but this one is an exceptional one. An epic!

I started out falling, never good. However, for the most part, I already knew I was fine. That's when I came to the realization that I had wings.

I often perceive the transitional phase of reality to fantasy to be something apparent in the dream, in this case it was the falling.

I quickly turned around so I was facing the ground to enjoy a huge city surrounded by this lake. There was water all throughout the city, with bridges gapping the waterways for travel. I remember how exceptionally real the fall felt, but how I knew I was in control even tho I had yet to use my wings.

In dreams I realize that most often your drive fills in for what you otherwise wouldn't have. I reacted immediatly upon seeing the city that I was loligagging and had to get somewhere. I knew where but didn't know why. It all came clear as I neared the bridge and saw a falling kid. I captured him under it, and all hollywood movie ish I just skimmed the water with him before taking the little dude back up to his parents.

All I did there for a while was look around, and I was looking for someone. This someone in my dream was, of course, female. Why wouldn't she be. I'm not curious of that. It's more, or less, the reason why. Which was never answered. Great cliffhanger.

I remember in my dream answering the question "Why do I need to find her?", and as dreams often do, I began to notice my bandages were leaking. I was hurt, I don't know how, just in my dream, my father bandaged me up and said "She nearly had you this time. You shouldn't be so laughable about everything. You can be hurt you know." But I wasn't pissed. I had drive. Snapped back to what I was doing, I dove into the water and that's the first time I remember waking up. I remember how much the saltwater stung my wound, and I woke up coughing my lungs out. I haven't been feeling my best lately :/

I went back to sleep and thankfully resumed the dream. Normally I maintain a level of conciousness in my dreams, I was driven by the fact that I was unsure if I was in this dream.

When I resumed, it was like time had passed because I had found the girl. she lived in a decrepit, tired, abandoned building home to the homeless. I knew that where I was, was an area known for its poverty. I liked the top of the building because I could see for miles. Also, no bandage. However, it did hurt to touch the area. I noticed the building was huge and I knew the girl I was looking for saw me coming as I was maneuverd my way to the roof. I felt a level of excitement and adrenaline rush as I ran off the side of the building, cupped the ledge a few stories down, and swung in through the window.

I looked up and immidiatly noticed all the people in sleeping bags/boxes around little fires. I then noticed that the center of building was hallow. Landing close to the ledge, I noticed how deep the building went. I saw kids playing on one of the ledges. I shook the annoying glass out of my wings and picked one of the pieces out of my forarm as I stood up.

Then things got weird. Apparently, I noticed 2 women of which I dated from times past in the crowd as well as a child I knew that was unfortunate to pass away at a young age, he showed up to my right grabbing on to my side. "Hey little dude" I said as I rubbed his hair, and he said "Hey Mast, you can fly?" "Yea mikey, you knew that. Where's your mom and dad?" "They aren't here. Come play" I stood up again and noticed everyone was looking at me.

"Uh, Hi, my name is Mast...I'm sorry to have interupted. I'm just looking for a friend". I looked around to find who I was looking for, I didn't know her by appearance, but she was familiar to me. I saw her in the window, but I only had a short mental description, she was very determined though. In her eyes. I when I made eyecontact with her in the crowd I knew immediatly, and she lunged at me and had me up against the wall.

You ever have those dreams where you jerk a little in bed due to sudden movements? I did on this occaision.

She had me choked by my neck and holding my up in the air like I was paper. "Why are you here, why did you violate these people by coming here? ANSWER ME DAMMIT!" As she struck me in the chest where she had hit me before, and I felt it begin to bleed. On this realization I asked myself "Why am I taking this shit from this bitch?" And while I was mustering the strength to fight back, I put both hands on her arm and forced it off my neck. I fell down and she poised back to attack and I wanted to kill her for it, but I welled up with tears and "I'm sorry" came out. Over and over again until I fell to my knees and woke up.

Heh, I think I may write this whole thing out as a comic script and shoot it to my buddy at marvel. I think it's a FANTASTIC story, I know I could analyze it left and right, but when writing it just now, I filled in a lot for the movements and time passing, but the key points where there. And I think by not answering them I think I could build a GREAT story around it. I've sketched out sooooo many mental scenes... My drawing was definitely inspired by it.

Hahaha, yea, I thought it kind of incredible that this thread came up too.

And you have bad dreams because I whisper in your ear at night.

I was in California. My family and I were eating in a 1950 style diner. It reminded me of a place called Zips. I had just finished queuing, and was about to sit down. I noticed three women. They called out to me by a name I used to use on a forum long left behind. All time seemed to stop. I walked over to them. We exchanged an odd sort of penetrates. We knew each other, but did not know each other. Once we had it settled who we were outside of the Internet and who we were in the virtual we talked. I never sat down with them. I just stood at the table. I did not feel comfortable with them. I could sense something strange about them. They made me an offer, a vague offer. I asked them the price, and they were evasive at best, something about an eye and a bit of soul. They tried to make me see how beautiful they were, how powerful. They implied I needed what they were offering; yet somehow I sensed something I did not like within them. I declined their offer, and was back at my table eating with my family.

Dreams are nothing more than your subconscious mind dealing with life. Still if you are worried, you should speek to those you care about.
