    Default Brusing,Scrapes??Please help!

Hey Ladies. I am a newbie!!! I have danced one night....felt like a fool cause I don't know how to dance and I'm very shy...Anyhow...I have horrible bruises on my knees and small scrapes from stage-burn. I used Arnica gel on the bruising and you can't see it all that badly, but it is insaely painful ! So I have a few ?'s....

Is there anything I can do to make it less painful to do floorwork tonight?

Is there any good way to pad my scrapes withought dressing up like a construction worker....I have seriously pondered that .

Off topic but...are there any combo of lights that hide stretch marks and slight cellulite?

    Thank you!!!

Ibruprofen take down the inflammation.. then alternate with paracetomol , lots of water, no alcohol, take arnica and put the gel on as and when you need it (altho not too close to work if its greasy)

Hope you feeling less sore soon!!

I'm having the same issue. My knees are all black and tender. I'm sure they'll "toughen up" as I keep going. I don't even bruise easily, but dang! That floor is hard!

FYI, if you are in the US, paracetamol is the same thing as acetaminophen.

Funny thing is that I don't feel bruise pain while dancing, only after I get off stage and go back to change/rest. Ouch!

Here is a hint. When you get home soak in a hot tub right away. Dont go straight to bed. I wasnt as sore as I used to be when I did this every night. Take tylenol, and use neosporin on your scrapes when you get home.

Supposedly the bruising will stop once you get used to it. Tanning will help hide some of the bruising.

Get a floor rug. All the girls at my club use them and they save your knees not to mention feel much more hygenic. just buy half a metre of faux fur in a plush black or dark gray and pop it on the table/booth before you do yur floor work

I have been dancing for three months and would still bruise horribly, so I started taking one iron pill every day. Now I get no visible bruises. Sometimes I will have a tender spot on my knees, but no visible bruising! Make sure you aren't anemic. The iron just might help.
