I'm sure most of you have heard about Mel Gibson's drunk driving arrest and his drunken comments against Jews. I was just wondering, do you guys think it is an actual apology that he really means, or he is trying to reverse the damage done to his career by the anti-semitic comments? I just got the new issue of People magazine last night and read the article on him. He says to the arresting police officer, "The Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world. Are you a Jew?" and "F------ Jews". I also read about past comments he has allegedly made. I almost feel sorry for him. It says he has already been shunned by a large part of the entertainment world and Barabara Walters announced on The View that she would no longer watch his movies.
I personally think he is more concerned about his career and that is the main reason he apologized. I mean, most people are the most honest when they are drunk. I think he may actually believe in those awful things he said.
