    Default Why Lie???

This has happened to me a number of times. guy will get a few dances , we'll talk about doing more or going to the VIP, he'll say something like" I'll be right I have to make a quick call, or use the restroom" whatever....... and then he's gone.Leaves the club.
    WTF!!!!

I work in Vegas and am one of the most low pressure, non aggressive dancers, it's not my style, so why do they lie? What am I gonna do beat them up? Especially if they have already spent money, they should just say, they're o.k, they don't wanna do vip or whatever and they would get a smile and an o.k it's been fun and I'll move on but it really pisses me off when they just up and leave. What's behind this???

Perhaps, while in your intoxicating presence, more dances or going into VIP seems irresistable...but when they are off by themselves counting what's left in their wallets, their priorities change.

Or maybe they just reflexively say what people want to hear, even if it's a lie.... there are a lot of folks like that....

Yeah.I've never gotten this either. Mostly I think they are just candy asses who cant bring themselves to tell you they are out of money.

What REALLY annoys me is when guys come up to me on stage or call me over saying they want to do a champagne room...then when I go to get the waitress for it they say "oh no..I was just asking about it"...no you said "Lets go do a room" A-hole. This happened to me a cpl times and is almost ALWAYS folllowed by "can i get your number?"

Yeah RIGHT...you just wasted my time, and the waitresses time and basically promised money you never intended on sending...you're my freakin' dream guy.

Do they really think we are impressed by the money they DONT spend????
People always ask me, did I ever learn anything when I was a stripper? Yeah, I did. One man plus two beers equals 20 dollars.

He may not trust his own potential behavior in VIP. Or maybe he was drunk. Or perhaps after running his mouth he realized he didnt have the money to back it up and didnt want to pay the ATM surcharge. Humans often find themselves in a fight/flight situation. Sound like he chose flight rather than admit to any of the above possibilities.

Flight wins over fight almost every time. How many times have you said each of the folllowing:

    A. Oh baby, your cock is huge!
    B. Nothing at all
    C. Gee honey, your penis is kinda small. I wish it was bigger, you know, like that guy over there's. His is pretty big.

    just sayin...

wuss or dick....wuss has been pretty well covered, the other is that he just likes to mess with dancers' heads and is trying to piss you off, in which case, he seems to have achieved his goal. If you calmly tell him you think he's just another socially inept wuss for what he did, you could probably end the situation with him being embarassed rather than you being pissed off. You might even embarrass him into tipping you...

I would take it as a compliment. You are just too good at extracting cash- he can't refuse you to your face. He wants to make you happy, have you smile at him and look forward to the next moment....not frown and huff off.

Yep, that's my take ... seems like he was intimidated - which is understandable, given the environment and situation, I suppose. I think it's a similar feeling that guys (and, for that matter, some women) tend to have when trying to break off relationships.

Interesting the different types of answers from the male posters compared to the female answers.

A strip club is full of lies starting right from line one, "Hi, my name is Striparella - whats your name?"

Guys will stop lying in strip clubs about the same time dancers do. Hmm, I guess that won't be happening anytime soon.

Tis true! And my name is "Smokeless" or "George", etc. Nonetheless, the flight reaction happens in sales all the time. Years ago I was in retail computer sales. I can't count the number of times a customer was close to a sale and had to "go to the car for his checkbook" or "I'll call you after I check with the wife" or "I need to check [some non-existent compatibility issue]", etc. Never to be heard from again, and not even returning my phone calls if they had already left a number. It's the nature of sales. One reason I got out. I watch our big corporate sales guns in analogous situations! So glad I'm a techie!

Yes, I've never understood quite why. When I've been faced with a similar situation, I typically _do_ tell the truth (or a slightly varnished version of it if I might offend the salesperson). "Not in my budget." "I thought it would meet my needs, but sorry I've discovered it doesn't." Any number of times I've truthfully told a dancer that I had already spent my budgeted fun money. But how do I say "Sorry, you don't meet my needs?" I guess I'll just say "No, thanks. Not now."

    Remember, it's just sales!

(Hey, most dancers are among the best salespeople I've met! They always try to close the sale. I.e., they ASK! I can't stand salespeople who don't ask for the sale!)

I've seen several occasions where the guy gets intercepted on the way to or in the bathroom by his friends who inform him they're looking to go some place else. I'm sure that sort of thing accounts for a few of them.

Thats a positive way of looking at it However, in the most recent sitution where this has happened I think he could tell that I wasn't going to frown and huff off. I was very polite, not at all aggressive and when he initially took a break from dances after about 3, I didn't run off, I planned to finish the drink he bought and after that if he was truly DONE getting dances from me I would've thanked him for the drink and walked away.No big deal.

I do apppreciate all the responses though, and while we all know the SC is full of lies there is something about a guy who doesn't have the balls to say either "I ain't got it, or "I don't want it" that really gets under my skin
