Thumbs down working under the influence...

    Hello ladies,

Lately I have been very depressed and it has been hard to stay in good spirits at work. So I've been finding myself taking vicodin just to mellow out and keep myself from wanting to go home. I know this is not a good thing to do but as a result I have been making good money. Quite frankly it lets me sit around and listen to people's bs which I normally could not do. I've always been a high earner at my club being totally sober but lately this is the only way I can deal with work. Have any of you ladies been through this?

    Sweety...

I think you are entering murky and dangerous territory if you have to use drugs to feel good at work.
My suggestion is take some time off, decide why/what is making you feel as though you can only work intoxicated.
Vicodin is very, very addictive... and it's addictive in a sneaky way. One morning you just wake up sick. Not to mention what you are doing to you liver/gallbladder/other assorted organs....
If you want to talk more about this PM me.

Take it from someone who has been down that road and back in many different ways, STOP RIGHT FUCKING NOW. You are treading in very dangerous waters. Montana is right, take some time off...maybe even just a change of scenery like a new club or a working vacay.

Please, for your health and sanity, take a step back and examine the whys and hows of what's going on at work or in your personal life that is pushing you to this extreme.

(Sorry if I sounded a bit harsh, but I had a few very tough years that I'm surprised I came out of alive...)

Not a dancer, but as someone who needed (and, at times does need) booze to go work, don't do it. It's bad. It'll mess you up at work, at home, in your head and out.

Montana and Glamazon are both right. Find a healthy way to chase the demons. There's really no good way your story can end, danni. And, even though you may well still be functional, even successful, the wall is coming, and you will hit it. Trust me. Slow down before you do.

PS PM if need be. Will help

I hope you can get help and feel better Danni, let us know how it goes. I KNOW for a fact I approach more guys after having 2 or 3 shots, so I do a day on/day off thing.

Just so you know. I started with Vics. I ended up on meth to get better and 'better' for work. Luckily, my move to Australia cut my addiction to four months, but during that time I had some horrible stories of what I did and what happened to my body. PM me if you want to be scared out of it. I can give details.
