Phil Burress aka Citizens For Community Values is a fascist idiot, his organization (CCV) tries to buly lawmakers in Ohio to pass legislation every year that would effectively close all Ohio stripclubs. Sad thing is, some legislators (mostly Republicans) tend to listen to him. I wouldn't want to be a club owner in Ohio, cause this idiot does yield some influence in certain areas of the political landscape.

"And young women who become caught in the industry eventually lose all contact with the normal, everyday world." ... "They have no time to go to the post office, the dentist, or any other normal things," he added.

Ummm, sure. Whatever. I probably have more time than anyone working in Corporate America to spend with my family/friends and on taking care of myself. This article is complete nonsense.

I tried calling the number at the bottom of the article for the hell of it. No answer. I blocked my number of course.
I didn't know I was "caught up in the industry".

What they don't know is that all the "phone calls from around the nation" are from pissed off dancers wondering what this number is really about...they also don't know that after the first 20 seconds, the phone is turned off and the call is ended.

i thought what was interesting about this group (pretty common to conservative protest type org's actually, so shouldn't be that suprised) is that they don't allow any interactive questioning-they pretend to be a 'balanced' view as such but the people calling can't actually ask any questions-god knows if the taped voices are actual dancers, they could be bored Christian housewives for all the credibility this has

    BULLSHIT!

This angers me. I work, generally, to close 1am here.... I come home, about a half hour away, shower and go to bed... 2am... I get up between 6:30 and 7:30 am EVERY Morning... Kiss my sweety goodbye when he leaves for work, make my kids breakfast, straighten up the house.... not to mention go to the gym, take the kids to any appointments...

So yes, absolutely, dancing has destroyed my life...

I am going to call that number and try to get the email addy's of the "dancers" that are in bed with these people... I want to talk to them.... I will let you guys know.

wow. after i got done laughing (my sides hurt now) i've decided that harvey danger was right when he sang the words

"been around the world and found that only stupid people are breeding"

these people are what he was talking about. i wonder whats next after the hotline..bumper stickers!

we need them. ones that say

"my platforms are bigger than yours!"
    "your pimp can't afford me"
    honk if you're a millionaire"

but thats off topic. these people are just bored. there will always be fanatics like them. they will raise their kids to believe in the same biggotist ideas and we will forever be plagued by them. maybe they are doing us a favor by warding off the girls that really don't need to be stripping. you know the girl. she's the one who wears walmart pumps with a thong the size of china dancing to pour some sugar on me and does free dances and cries at the end of the night because she's broke. it isn't that she forgot to collect, but that she wanted to be nice and they said if she gave them a free dance that they'd buy one later...maybe they are saving us from those girls. i'm wondering when we'll start seeing the girls who called and still got jobs in clubs but with a holier than thou attitude. acting like they are better than us since they know our 'game' now that we are really trying to suck the lives out of them. we shall be known as:

    Pod people strippers!!!! MWUAAHHAHHAHHAA!!

crutons. thats what they are. those things in your salad that one one wants or really knowswhat they are there for, but eat anyway. they are crutons.

I guess I go to bed too early -- I have never stayed at the club long enough to see the dancer auction . . . .

LoL... I sent it and didnt save... but it basically stated:

I've been with the same man for 3 years and he isnt a drug dealer or pimp and doesnt take a penny of my money.

I have never once offered a sexual extra in the club

    I am not a whore

I do not touch any sort of narcotic, not even weed

I do not drink at work

I do not party or go clubbing at crazy hours

I live a quiet peaceful life with my man

That she needs to open her mind and stop being close minded and that she should really gather facts about the industry.

That what she stated about dancers is in fact wrong and shes focusing on the minority. I then stated that if we are going to focus on minorities then maybe we should get rid of all catholic priests and churches because of all the priests who have been charged with child molesting in the past 5 - 10 years.

There was more but that was the jist of it... I then told her im really offended that she would sterotype me and my friends that way

I suppose if you interview people who own the victum mentality, those dancers will likely blame the "strip club culture" on their rapid decline into the gutter.

Hmmm, it's funny that all kinds of people end up in the gutter- Look at Hollywood, fer godssake!

That might be a good scare tactic for underage girls who are caught up in the glamour of being a stripper, but adults should be responsible for themselves, not blame a decision or series of bad decsions on a particular industry for their shitty decision making skills.

Promote yourself and earn more money! This is a business that is owned by strippers for strippers. Let's make that money!

[email protected] wants us to know that whatever financial binds we are in... will not get better if we become adult entertainers... and that dancing will lead us all to alcohol, drug, and sex abuse! Also,God loves us and so does she. "Be blessed"
