    Cleaning Dance Clothes

I'm going to be washing my dance clothes today. It's such a pain! There's GOT to be a faster way to do this. I wash them by hand with hand soap in the sink, rinse them out, and hang them in the shower. It takes so long!

Buy a mesh bag for lingerie (or maybe 2 or 3) & toss them in there, then in the washer on Delicate cycle. Don't do this too often though.

I put all mine in the bath tub n use some delicate hand washing detergent, then hang them all out.. is time consuming I know!!... they are delicate tho so darent think about putting them near my machine!!.. some machines have a delicates cycle, may be worth giving that a try?!.. unsure

Hm, I DO have a lingerie mesh bag somewhere. I'll do that. I kind of like seeing the black water rinse away when I do it by hand but I just don't have the patience today! I'm thinking about getting a largish bucket and doing what stripper_london is talking about.

I used to use the lingerie mesh bag and delicate cycle too. Actually I would let it aggitate for a minute to mix well then I would stop the machine and just let everything presoak for at least 1/2 hour. I liked to use the machine because I *HAD* to add liquid Downey to the rinse cycle. It was the only thing that helped rid the cigarette reek.

If I have time I'll hand wash- but other than that I put them in the delicate cycle. If it's the night before I'll hang it all up in the shower. If it's the same day- I throw it in the dryer and keep a close eye and check constantly until it's dry.

I always hand washed mine too... spent too much money on it to risk screwing it up in a machine...lol... but it does get old!
