    Angry Selling Repeats

I love my club, but there's one thing about it that gets on my nerves. Our lapdance room has a host with a cash register, and the customer pays him for every dance in advance. I'll bring a guy back, he'll pay $40, and then if he wants another dance, he has to stop and dig out another $40. If he doesn't pay for every song in advance, the VIP host comes over and yells about it. Lots of times a guy will want me to keep dancing, but by the time he digs out his wallet and looks in it, he changes his mind and says he's done. Grrrgh.

Any ideas on how I can get more repeats??

Say before the dance, "I'm sure you'll want another one, so would you like to pay for it upfront to avoid the hassle of doing it twice"

that's odd....obviously bad for business (which ironic because they probably do it to "help.") He's obviously got to get it out of his wallet before the dance begins. Maybe in his shirt pocket, his hand, or right next to him on the seat.

Anyway, I think you could say, "I give great dances and many men want more than one. Since you have to prepay for dances here, you might want to have your cash in your hand already so we don't waste any time finding it when you really want it!"

I'll try that. I dunno that it'll work because the guys around here usually think they just want one. I used to do really well selling repeats at other clubs where I could just keep going, but when they have to think about money at all, they usually decide to save it. But I'll try.

Why not set a number a dances they should do with you before VIP? So that way they pay your number of dances upfront and youre guaranteed more than 1 dance. Just a thought.

Well, we sort of have that at my club already. They can get one song, or if they get four, there is a discount and they get a big couch. A lot of people want the four-song couch dance, but there's a big sign that says "$100 Topless $150 Nude" in there. They aren't thinking, "Hey, that's $37.50 per song with a big couch" - they just see $150 and think, "Nope, too much." I could get them to spend more than that if I could just keep going, but this system forces them to think about the money. And we don't get high rollers.

I probably ought to find a different club, but I sure like everything else about this one. Bummer.

oh, in that case, before you start....
"would you like to do the dance over here or over there?" and when they ask what the difference is, say "it costs same on the big couch, well, actually, a little less. But you have to stay longer. It's perfect for the guy that really likes a girl andknows he wants to have more than one dance. It's more comfortable and less interruption. I really like it."

That's pretty much what I say. It works occasionally but not as often as I'd like, and then on busy nights there is often a wait for the couch as we only have two. Oh well.

I'm sorry I don't have a suggest, but I used to work at a club that did the pre-pay thing, too. Really annoying. It's not about making sure the dancer gets paid, because very rarely does a customer try to stiff you. It's about the club getting their cut, and I hate it because it hurts our money. I don't know what the contact is like in LA, but my best suggestion is to ask him if he wants to keep going at the end of the song with your chest/shin/knee/whatever resting on his crotch because that's what he'll be thinking with. Sorry, chiquita.

If I was reasonably tight with the room host I'd say one time, "Hey, this guy who's about to come in is just buying one dance to "test me out" but he's got loads of cash and I know he'll want more. Any way you could let us slide and I will make sure he squares with you before we leave?" I'd tip him, of course. If he seems receptivve to it at all you could easily turn it into a regular thing--maybe even give him a tip at the beginning of each shift with the understanding that he'll give you that treatment in exchange.

See, this 'pay first' works great in Aus. because you pay by time. But paying every THREE minutes is just a farking PAIN. I can see every fifteen or thirty, but THREE?! I'd change my mind, too.

You still work there? I wasn't too fond of it. But I guess I've been spoiled.

I made a point to sell the big couches. "It's so much cheaper and since I can REALLY get into it without having to interrupt, you'll enjoy yourself a lot more." *licks lips*

Or on the second song of a regular dance, "I would LOVE to have more dances with you. I'm JUST warming up."

Blah, but then I only worked there one night, what do I know?

Yeah, I actually make money there. Go figure. It's definitely not a club for everyone, but it seems to be a good fit for me - except for this "pay the cash register at the door" thing. Last night was really slow and I didn't have much opportunity to try these tricks, but I did pull a couple and I did well. One guy said four songs was too much, so I said, "Okay, how about we just do two over here then?" I got his money for two songs in advance and probably doubled what I would've made off him. So maybe I'll try the "half deal" from now on.

Yek, the best advice I can give you under your situation is try to build up a stock of repeat customers. The guy that buys a single dance from you and likes it will be more likely to buy (and prepay) for multiples on future trips, or possibly even later that night.

Emphasizing the discount and the lack of interruption will also help.

When the custy asks for the dance, or when you make the close say this:

"Two dances or the 4 dance special?"

usually when under the spell of a lovely lady the PL will simply pick one or the other, not realizing that he could have said "one"

Work on asking questions that you lead and determine the answer to.

    Example: "Wanna dance"

Custy: "hmm..Not now" "No" etc. Not the right answer

Try" we are having a speical...two hot dances for $80, or 4 super hot couch dances for $150,....which would you rather do?"

It may sound odd......but these guys will listen. I used to train a lot of salespeople and the funniest thing I would show them is the power of "Follow Me"

Next time in the club go up to a prospect and just say "Follow Me".....then proceed to wander all around the club. Keep this up for a few minutes. If they ask "Where are we going." just say follow me...AND THEY WILL.

^^^ Actually have used this tactic from a girl that I used to work with when I just started. We are saleswomen selling our own image, and we must look at it that way to become successful at it. This tactic is very effective.

Well I'm not really sure what to say. If it were me I'd buy one and then likely go back to my seat to and think about if I'd want to go and get a few more later or hit the couch. (Probably going to sound like an asshole comment but it's the best description I can think of.) If I'm at a new club or don't know any of the girls working that I've had dances from in the past I like to get a dance from a number of girls that appeal to me. Then after trying a handful of different girls I know who I want to spend more time with. (I'm guessing I'm not the only guy to do this but it sounds really bad when I type it out. :/ ) Then when I came back for more dances later I'd know that I would prepay for more then one. What were to happen if the guy bought two dances but for whatever reason changed his mind after one dance that he didn't want another? Can he get his money back?

Overall I highly doubt it is you. Just the policy of the club makes guys think about what they are doing. When that happens you realize that you are spending alot of money that should likely be going to savings or something else but when you go from thinking with one head to the other you realize that. Guess I probably didn't help anything with this post. :/
