Default 3 Cookies, 3 Waffles, and a Bag of Chips

That's what I had for breakfast this morning. I don't what has come over me in the past couple of days. I usually eat very healthy and workout daily. No sugar, soda's or heavy fats. I usually cook at home with all natural organic products. Eat mostly vegetables, fruit, and lean protein. It all started on my husbands birthday last week. I ate a lot of cake and other goodies at his birthday party and every since them I have been on a sugar binge. What is going on with me?

maybe you were depriving yourself and now you're binging? or maybe PMSing. I go for sweets and salty when I'm craving.

At least you're aware of what's going on. You can't change what you did, but you can fix it now if you want.

Try to cleanse and get rid of the sugar. That happened to me and I eat and workout alot like you do. Sometimes I just get tired of being so damn healthy and go on a food binge. I always like to go for a good steam after a workout to sweat the extra out or so thats what I think it does.
I swear its the sugar in your diet that makes you crave more. I really think its worse than fast food cravings. Try eating clean for the next 3 days or go on juice diet.

Damn can I come to your house for breakfast? Cuz everything you listed sounds YUMMY I go thru phases where all I eat is salt or sweets, but I typically get over it in a day or two. I just eat a bunch of sweet fruit and it tends to satisfy my cravings so I don't eat more candy

I think that maybe I am a sugar addict. The more sugar I eat the more I want. I think I will try to do a cleanse for 3 days starting now. Do you think it would be better to do a healthy juice fast or should I just eat all lean protein over the next 3 days? I think also that I am suffering burn out from eating so healthy. Sometimes I get so tired of thinking and planning on what I am going to eat and I just want to be bad and eat whatever I want!

Stress does that to me! That's why I can't keep junk food in my house! I'll eat it all the minute I'm under pressure!

Wow sounds like me yesterday. I ate 6 100 calorie packs, a Frappuccino from Starbucks, and huge bagel with cream cheese, and more cookies and gummy bears. And I woke up this morning with my period. Surprise surprise haha.
Those binges are usually few and far between so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

You are not alone. I was doing awesome today....great nutritious food, a long, challenging workout, lots of water....
....then I ate half a dozen freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. Bad, I know, but it was SO worth it. I am on my period and may have killed someone without them.

I'm kinda like that. I have to stay away from sugar almost entirely, because it seems to be addictive. If I've been eating it, the only way for me to stop is cut out ALL sweets for 2 or 3 days, and it is VERY hard. Just went through it a couple of days ago.

    Mm waffles...

I do this monthly usally too. Ironically it seems to keep the weight down, and me happy. Like if I've been eating too healthy and my period won't come I go get a mcflurry or one of those big peanut butter cups with all the fat and *voila*...I wouldn't stress just keep exercising and go back to eating right

going crazy on foods like that would usually happen to me if I were depriving myself too much....and exercising too much, not having a well-rounded diet.
You need your fats. Maybe that's why your'e eating all that stuff, because it has fat in it. Your body needs it, it knows what it needs (but it is also tricked by the taste-good feelings produced by sugar...and eating a sugary icecream can make your blood sugar go up, then it dives back down becaue the body responds to that increase in sugar by secreting insulin, which is a substance that does something like stores the sugar as fat...so that you won't have all that sugar all around your body...it wants to keep a balance. so be careful...avoid sugary cereals, non-whole grain waffles, etc.
With some egg whites, add in a tablespoon of veggie oil. eat some almonds or walnuts during the day. you'll have those cravings much less. your body is designed to need fat. don't be misinformed and totally anti-fat...because yiour body actually needs it
    hope this helps

I feel your pain, I'm on a major gourmet-iced-mocha-with-extra-whipped-cream binge right now....it's all PMS. It has to be because I usually hate the taste of sugar (no, i'm serious.) Once the week is over, I'll go back to healthy (good thing because I've spent thirty bucks on mochas in the last five days).

TM is right though. Try the master cleanse. Stick with it for a few days...it's hard but it works. It'll clear your body out and get rid of the cravings.

That being said....I want waffles too.

dont deprive your self it will make things worse. if you NEED a cookie have half and then dont sweat it, the more you think about food the more impulsive your choices will be.

and it might be more successful to work up to a fast, instead of cold turkey.

i notice that when im stressed im very controling about what i eat because it makes me feel more in control of my life but it backfires because i go extream, i dont know if your like that at all, but mabey you can use the advice

Thank you to everyone for the excellent advice. I think that I have been depriving myself to much. The day after I posted the first time my period did start. I think that could have been the triger. The past few days I not eaten any carbs. I feel that my sugar craving is gone now. I think in the future though I am going to try to not be so focused on every little thing that I eat. I have noticed that when I do eat something bad I think oh well I messed up today might as well keep going and then I end up binging. I think if I try to control this and not deprive myself I might not end of binging.

I've been doing something for almost 2 years now that really works for me. I'm very conscious of my diet most of the time, and eat quite well: lots of veggies, lean meats, seasonal stuff. But I allow myself one piece of utter crap per day. Like I just finished a Boston cream donut. mmmm. One 'treat' a day sounds like a lot, but if the rest of your diet is above reproach, it evens out quite well.

Sometimes I just generally eat like crap, like if I'm on the road or something. No treats then, obviously

But it really helps you not get those uncontrollable cravings that stem from deprivation.
