Does anyone else's feet get numb when they use this? Any tips on preventing it?

OMG this happens to me all the time too.. I though it was just me..lol

Used to happen to me too. I had to move my toes away from the edge of the foot pedal then I was ok. Isnt exercise suppose to increase circulation? Maybe tie your shoes not so tight...er I dunno.

Hey Glamz! This is actually a very common problem. It is generally thought to be caused by misalignment of the foot (particularly heel to toe action) and spinal posture. Try keeping your feet firmly planted down for 10 minutes and see if that elevates the problem (p.s. that also gives a better gluteal workout) Also, make sure your shoes fit properly and are not laced too tightly.
This happened to me ALL the time when I first started working out on the elliptical but I eventually adapted; really, which I attribute to building stronger back muscles therefore helping my posture and gait.

I can't believe that I didn't think to consult you on this! I know that I don't have the greatest back, and although I stand tall, my exaggerated arched back is really bad posture.Originally Posted by Lola Lee

I guess I'll just have to keep checking my posture and eventually adjust!
What Lola said...and then make sure that your toes aren't pushed into the front of the pedal.

Raise the level of climb you to do make it steeper. I found that it helps a lot... if you can.Originally Posted by Glamazon

I had the numbing issue too until I raised the climb level. Make a conscious effort to keep your feet in the middle of the petals too. Scrunching them up at the top cuts off circulation.Originally Posted by Rockette
