    Default Terrible period pain!!

I suffer with very bad period pains and today is no exception, the only problem is I am working tonight and at present I'm doubled over with a rather bloated tummy.
Can anyone suggest anything to ease the pain quickly and reduce the bloatiness?
Mild painkillers dont seem to touch it!

Extra Strength Midol.. avoid any caffiene... drink TONS of water and water only.. like I mean drink it like a fish. An epsom salt bath with lavander bubble bath, followed by a heating pad.. do some stretches and avoid any greasy nasty food...even though we all crave it on our periods. I get the cramps from hell... like to the point where I want to die.. i've learned these few tricks help though. Good luck.

Doesn't midol contain caffeine though? That's why it helps with fatigue. I've personally always liked taking Diurex water pills and Motrin with tons of water. Diurex will help with flushing out excess water and Motrin helps with body aches and swelling.

I think Midol does have caffiene.. but it gets rid of bloating and cramps... I swear by the shit.. i've tried anything and everything and midol works the best for me. I also become mega crazy scarey bitch on my period and midol seems to help control that a bit. Peppermint tea also works...

Yeah, I took Midol once during my period and the caffeine made it so bad I was throwing up. I even switch to caffeine free soda a week before and during my period. I can only take Aleve. Aleve is naproxen which is what my OBGYN used to give me (just in stronger doses). I get horrible periods! I have to take steaming hot baths just to keep from crying from the pain of cramps. I heard some good things about something called Premsyn, I was going to try it, but I haven't had the chance *knocks on wood*.

you should go to the doctor to make sure you dont have endometriosis (its not fatal or anything but it is a chronic pain condition), you should google it and see how your symptoms compaire.
