Default messed up thing happened last night

Last night I was on stage in front of a full crowd of people when another dancer I'd seen around a few times but never talked to came up to the stage and held out a dollar like she was tipping me. When I bent over she sneered at me and told me I looked awful and should get off the stage. I blinked and told her to go to hell, which probably wasn't the smoothest thing to do, but I was kinda caught off guard. Then she pushed me hard in the chest and I fell over. The crowd got all excited, craning around like they were rubbernecking a car wreck. She walked away and everybody just sat glued to their seats staring while I finished out the rest of my set the best I could. It sucked.

It was just one of those fucked up things, I know. I was talking to a friend about it back in the dressing room and she knew the girl I was talking about before I even described her, said she was the club bully who says and does a lot of ugly things to new and young girls. (I'm not really THAT young or THAT new, but whatever.) I'm so pissed off, I'd seriously love to punch this chick in the nose, but I don't know what that would accomplish. GRRRRRR*&%*&$%$#^%$*&!!!!

wow.. get the fuck out of here.. i HATE bitchy dancers... many times they have been in the business for a long time.. They can be very teritorial..... She is definitely jealous of you and is trying to be mean to you so you'll get intimidated and scared... In her mind she is trying to push you out of the club.. Stay strong and don't let someone get the best of you.. Theres a girl where I work that is a lot like that.. She is a complete bitch to everyone at work.. Shes been there for seven years and she acts like she owns the place.... ignore her and proceed on with your money making... don't let her affect you in any way...

how can they let that girl work there? A decent club wouldn't tolerate that shit and fire her.

exactly what i was thinking. if the club knows that happened, and allows her to continue working there, you should -not- work for that club. they are allowing you to be abused/assaulted. also, if you decide to continue working there and that shit happend again, i'd call the cops. press charges on her ass.

back to the club... any club i've worked at would have thrown her ass out. no matter how much money she makes. period.

I did, actually. The manager just patted me on the head and sent me home. I'm not sure that anything will come of it. It's a big club with a lot going on, and I have the feeling that inter-stripper drama gets swept under the rug pretty easily.

If she did it out of jealousy, then I guess I should be flattered. The funny thing is, I was already pretty nervous about being on stage, so she really didn't need to bother. I was on right after a girl that in my opinion is one of the club's hottest and a great dancer. Moreover, the DJ put me up because he wanted to play some rock n' roll and I'm one of the few who will dance to it, so he did this huge "yell if you love rock n' roll" build-up that my meager stage-dancing skills and coupla lame pole tricks hardly warranted. She sure picked her moment to make me feel insecure. Blech, whatever. Glad I'm not her -- as my friend put it, "bitch is off her meds."

That's what my bf says, too. I'd consider it if she actually hurt me. I've got a squeaky clean record and no fear of the police. Bet she can't say the same.

I'd have one of my friends come in posing as a regular customer. Have him go up to stage and tell her SHE looks like shit. See if she likes it.

Aww...that is an awesome idea...do it! Try to come up with something you know she's sensitive about and pounce on it.

I'm so sorry she caught you at a bad time and was able to cut you down like that. What a complete [email protected]$%!! There is just no telling what compels some people.

Poor Grace, that's awful! sorry....I bet that girl has no life, and was probably jealous of you, or wants attention or needs a hug lol! Sorry to hear that...

but yeah I agree with you about kicking her ass...however I'll have to just say don't mind her...there are always people like that and you can't beat all of them up, you know. so just avoid them, maybe management should do something about it, or not find a better club..

Don't back down to her. Our club bully just got fired for starting shit with another dancer. A fight broke out and she was tossed out on the spot. She was a real bitch too. Good riddence!

Kudos to you for finishing your set Grace... that took balls.
Girls like her truly suck but it's worth remembering that people on the whole don't start life as a dick - something has formed her into the bitter, belligerent old hag she is; she's probably had a sucky life. Hope that's some consolation x

I like the idea of having on of your friends come into the club, like a regular customer, and go up to her and tell her she looks like shit. Probably would be the funniest thing, and she might be stupid enough to not even connect it with pushing you off the stage. In my honest opinion, she should have been fired on the spot.

Something's wrong with that club if they are going to let a girl physically attack another one. I would go someplace else where you are safe. Think what else she might do if she gets away with putting her hands on you in front of a bunch of people.

Hey Grace, which club was this at? I wonder if I know the girl. If its crazy Liz by chance, just stay the fuck away from her, she is a sociopath, and she would hurt you again without blinking. PM me if you want to vent hon. I'm sorry......

BTW, I don't know a single club I've been to or danced at that didn't have a few mean girls and a fights. Perhaps you are all working in the perfect club, but in the real world, management doesn't give a shit about anyone, for the most part. Its every bitch for herself. If the money is there, then that's what's important...

Unfortunantly this has been true at every club I have worked at, and I have worked at some very nice clubs. I hope you do not have anymore difficulty with the psycho. I would suggest taking some self defence classes, and making friends with someone who can kick her . the clubs do not give a [email protected]#$ about the dancers. We are disposable to them. All the clubs I have every danced at have never wanted the police involved if a fight breaks out. The club I am at now will only get the police involved if a dancer needs an ambulance.

My club bully got fired after having worked there 5 years. She thought she was untouchable cuz she'd been working there for so long. She was drunk one night and came in just to hang out and kept shoving me and I hit her in the face with my drink! The manager got between us right away and we had a hold of each other's hair (manager was a big guy, couldn't really reach to hit her). I pulled so hard until I heard this nasty sound of her hair being pulled off. She had a big bald spot! This bitch bullied everyone, so everyone was glad for what I did. I'm not saying for you to hit this dancer who shoved you, just don't put up with it.

Do you really want to amp up the confrontation? If the management is already okay with that sort of animosity in the place, it sounds like it is going to take something that puts either a dancer or a customer at a risk of injury before they'll intervene.

The notion of starting a physical altercation or tripping her sounds satisfying, but again, will that cure the problem? And if it is noticed or recorded, how will you fare?

My recommendation is to take the opposite route. Tell her to quit being a jerk, then, if there is something worth complimenting about either her appearance or performance, tell her that, too. It should throw her off enough to start defusing things, even if she doesn't appreciate it.

Shit.. I remember when I got into something my first day at this new club..

I confronted her, haha I let the bitch know I wasnt scared of her.. got in her damn face.. not saying you should fight haha but definitely let management know whats up before it gets worse. Not sayin you should talk shit, but just let the management knows that the incident wasn't cool at all and you won't tolerate it or you'll quit.

Cuz if i'm payin these expensive house/stage fees, damn right I want some respect or somethin!

I <3 you guys. Glad I'm not the only one who thinks this was fucked up. I skipped last night and gave myself some time to chill out. I'm going in tonight, though. Hopefully she's not there, or maybe she was so blitzed that night that she won't even recognize me...I really hate drama like this. Blarg.

Yeah, I know about that Liz chick...a little bit older, dark/black stringy har, fake boobs that NEVER move, not an ounce of body fat...Yep, shes freaking weird...HIGH maintenance. I was waitressing and just always tried to be nice to her...she's very exotic looking. One time we happened to be in the restroom together and I told her I thought she was very pretty (a bit of a leap) just to see what she would do. Surprisingly enough, she thanked me, smiled and gave me a quick kiss on the cheek...you never know! If it's the dancer I'm thinking of, she'll never be on stage...lol. I never saw her up there. I don't know how she makes her money. I never saw her lap dancing either.

What a psycho bitch! I can't believe management didn't fire her... Or at least suspend her... Hopefully they did. My experiance with chicks like this... They eventually fuck THEMSELVES up and get fired.

That's ridiculous that management did nothing about her acting that way. What club needs a piece of shit like that? Better yet...what guy would want a lap dance from her? She made an ass of herself, while attempting to make one of you.
I just can't believe you didn't tackle her or something. -I solute you for that one...you've got some serious patience Grace.
If someone did that to me...I'd definitely be putting my 7 inch stiletto's to good use.
