Thread: Ok Girls, what about Porn?

Default Ok Girls, what about Porn?

So I am a stripper and a model and everything is going just lovely. I have been thinking very seriously as of late about doing porn. Now, I don't think I am ready for boy-girl stuff. Right now, I am interested in doing solo stuff, girl-girl at most- for now. I would not do low budget crappy porn, I'm getting in touch with companies like Wicked, Vivid, etc and really want to do this well, and RIGHT.

So, have any of you done it? Would you do it? What are your thoughts on the industry?

Do you think the stigma is similar to that of stripping -biased and unfounded? I mean why is it such a big deal anyway?

    I'm anxiously awaiting your opinions.

there's differences between stripping and porn. with stripping, you can go in and dance at a club and once you leave that job, it's over. down the road, no one has to know about it if you dont want them to. porn is different. once it's out there, it's out there. if your feelings change about it over the years, it will be harder to hide.

As a producer of content, I'd strongly suggest you consider everything before taking that step. It's one you can never erase.

Should you desire to enter a more mainstream profession later in life, it WILL come back to haunt you as there is no escaping the evidence.

With every newbie to the biz I've come across, I try to convince them to seek other forms of employment. If after that they still insist that this is what they want to do, then I proceed to the next step. The money isn't as great as one would imagine it to be. Further, there's a serious down turn in the market with way too much product and not enough consumers.

A typical title sells about 5000 pieces if it's a hit. That number is seriously low and extremely difficult to maintain profit margins. Imagine the cost of all the duds? Also, with the Bush admin trying to shut the industry down via 2257 reg's and the indictments the fed's are anticipating over non-compliance, and well, you've got an industry in a semi state of flux.

Also, with 2257 compliance, anyone who shoots or sells your content is required to maintain concise records of who you are and they must pass that info to buyers (distributors, webmasters, etc) who then must have it available for perusal (gov't checks). Any Tom, Dick and Harry wanting your personal info (driver's licence, home address, S.I.N. etc) can easily obtain it by claiming to be a content distributor and purchasing your stills or video footage.

This is precisely how the U.S. gov't plans to crack down on the biz: curtail those wanting to get in by imposing such restrictive measures on the producers and scaring the willies out of the girls.

Moreover, big houses such as RLD, Wicked, etc have slowed down or curtailed production altogether this summer due to low sales and a glut of titles.

Juxtopose that with what you wish to do: shoot girl/girl and solo content. It isn't going to be easy or very profitable (unless you're an absolute knockout!).

The shelf life of the porn industry as we now know it is very much in doubt.

Just as "the oldest profession in the world" will always be around so will porn.... however there is only so much porn someone will purchase as the average buyer probably wouldn't own more than a handful of titles on DVD..... and think about all the free content available on the internet.... and you can see how the porn industry is not exactly as lucrative as it once was... Feedback brought up some very valid concerns when one wants to enter this industry.

If you want to have sex for money just be a Working Lady instead. Offer private sessions. Since being a WL is perfectly legal in Australia, this is a valid way of going about it. At least it can't totally haunt you down the track as you obviously wouldn't allow people to take photos or video of you during a private session as WL.

Porn is pretty hard to get into with the new 2257 law changes, basically you need to make sure you have your us state ids. before you can approach agencies in LA to get into porn.

IF your american and you have your state ID then you really have not much to worry about just getting in contact with agencies and film companies, your almost wasting your time getting in contact with vivid and the bigger companies since they hire thier perfromers from agencies,

you need to get a hold of the agencies, or websites like bangbros.com who fly girls to flordia shoot thier content for a week and you come home with cash.

There is agencies like badass models you might want to try them and see what they can do for you, and of course Seymore Butt's agency Lighthouse Talent.

then check out sites like xpeeps.com and avn forum. and if you can this year go to avn awards and conventions in vegas and just talk to every production company you see.
I am an escort, I am a stripper, I am internet porn star.
