    Snakes On A Plane

My take on this cinematic masterpiece (hack, hack):

    3 parts - Red Eye
    2 parts - Outbreak
4 parts - cheesy made for TV horror movie

Blend until you have a frothy, depraved yet, eerily watchable mixture.

No academy award here, but like Showgirls this will be on many people's guilty pleasure list someday.

I'm almost positive it was intended to be a joke movie, making fun of all these idiotic horror movies like "hostile" and whatnot.

I'm going to see it, knowing full well that it will be cheesy. But I like those movies sometimes. Plus Samuel L Jackson usually rocks.

I see it for what it is, an attempt to make a B movie. However
I will not watch snakes on a plane unless my brain goes down the drain
I will not watch snakes on a plane unless sedated for major pain
I will not watch snakes on a plane it's a movie made in vein(lol)

So what is this movie about?
Isocrates: “Democracy destroys itself because it abuses its right to freedom and equality. Because it teaches its citizens to consider audacity as a right, lawlessness as a freedom, abrasive speech as equality, and anarchy as progress.”

When I saw the preview, I thought it was a joke.... or a commercial for something...like Gieco or.... Travelocity...

It wasn't until Joe was like...uh, hon....that is a real movie, that I stopped trying to figure it out...

For the record though... Sam Jackson is in fact The BAMF....

I won't see it, even when it hits DVD. Looks way too retarded for me.

I did, however, see "Red Eye" the other night on one of the movie channels. I liked it.

I can not WAIT to see this movie!!!!!! It has seemed cheesy and awful from the start but I bet it's super fun. I heard that it is better if you see it with a crowd kind of like the Rocky Horror Picture Show.

You didn't hear? Its a publc service video put out by the TSA, reminding us of what can happen when we pack liquid and gel products in our carry on luggage. Just think of the pricey cosmetic items that could have been saved from airport dumpsters had this come out about three weeks sooner.

After seeing this, I for one, will never use an airplane lavatory again.

That was the funny thing. The marketing hype and the trailers really played up the retardation aspect of it, but it really came out as more of an action/suspense movie that just happened to have a really preposterous scenario in it.

If anything disapointed me, it was perhaps that it wasn't retarded enough.

Haha. They just looked up the ratings for every horror movie to see which ones made money because they thought if they combined them all theyd make one big supermovie. It did NOT work.

I saw the movie Saturday, LoVeD it!

I grew up on cheesey horror movies though. One of the only things I know about my father is he LOVED Freddy... I've seen Nightmare on Elm street so many times.

Anyways- it's an instant cult classic... I actually got a phone call from S. L. Jackson..
on www.snakesonaplane.com you can set up a personalized message and have him call anyone. It was really weird. I thought it was someone ACTUALLY calling me. He said my name and I was all like "yes?" then he's like "this is Samuel L. Jackson. You may know me from movies such as pulp fiction..." It goes on and on and then he just rants and raves about his new movie... haha.. Was interesting.

I just got back from seeing it and I LOVED IT!!!!! I would watch it again right now! It was just fun and entertaining and goofy and scary and cool and awful all at the same time. FUN FUN FUN !!!!! I just can't get over how much I liked it and I don't really like most movies Holywoood puts out these days. Good times!

I enjoyed it, and I'm glad I saw it on the big screen rather than on video. It's the kind of popcorn you have to actually go *to* the movies for. You know... so that when Sam Jackson screams, "I am tired of these MOTHERFUCKING snakes on this MOTHERFUCKING plane!" everyone can cheer and applaud.
