Default bug bite on the butt

disclaimer: Ok - I know that y'all are not doctors, but I'm just looking for some advice.

Alright on July 4th i was walking along the beach with my little cousin, when my legs got all itchy and I got hives. I went back to the house an took a bath, and upon inspection, noticed three littlel bumps that look like bug bites on my right cheek. I have no idea what would have bit me.

While I haven't had any reoccurences of the hives or itchy legs, my bum gets so itchy still. I have a sore about 2.5 inches in diameter on it.

I know that I really should go to a dr. but I currently do not have health insurance.

Working is somewhat embarassing, because a. ppl see it, and b. i want to scratch it. (gross) Sometimes at the end of the week it will get raw and kind of ooze. It's been a month and a half since the bite.

Any suggestions on what it possibly may be or what I can do to soothe it would be greatly appreciated.

you can try taking an atihistamine to relieve the itching, but honestly, you're gonna probably wanna see a doc. if it's something serious, it would be better to catch it early. especially if it's getting bigger.

I would go see a doctor. Explain to them that you dont have health insurance, but you are willing to make payments, or leave post-dated checks.
Ouch- your bum sounds painful. I'm sorry girl!

You should try to go to the Dr. if possible. The bug bite could be infected. You may need anti-biotics. I do have a suggestion that might help ease the pain and itching. I make this paste for my 4 year old when ever she gets bug bites.

    1Tablespoon of Baking Soda
1 Teaspoon of Sea Salt or you can use regular salt. I like Sea Salt though.
1 Tablespoon of natural regular oatmeal.
    4-5 Tablespoons of Spring Water.

Mix everything together until it forms a paste. Then wait about 10 - 15 minutes for it to thicken. Then apply it directly to the bug bite. I usually put a lot of it on my daughters bug bites. It will dry. If it forms into a clump just wipe that part off. The baking soda and sea salt help extract the poisons from the bug bite. The oatmeal will help sooth the bug bite and hopefully help with the itching.

it's probably a bug bite, but I had a friend who thought his cyst (came on super fast like a bug bite) was a bug bite. if he hadn't gone to a doctor, he would have been in big trouble.

go to the doctor. you've had this almost a month and a half. that ain't no normal bug bite.

I had a crazy spider bite (hence the post "a spider ate my ass" a while back, like a month ago and its just going away. It finally started clearing up when I put neosporin on it and covered it with a bandaid every day.

I had the same thing about a year ago. What is with these bugs getting us on our money makers? Mine took about 3 weeks to go away though I had a red spot for a couple months. When I went into work I wore shorts and never stripped to my g-string. If it doesnt start to heal soon I would go to a doc.

You can go to a walk-in clinic and have it looked at relatively cheaply.

You only have 1 body and 2 ass cheeks. You need to take care of them because it is a real bitch to sit on a toilet seat with only 1 cheek.
Plus you will be banned from posting any rump pictures.

^ Yes, go to the minor emergency. I have no health insurance as well, and usually you can get out of there for under $150 if you are a new patient. That may seem like a lot of money but think about how much money you have lost already because you are self conscious about the thing on your butt. Also if it gets really bad you could end up with a big ol scar and then you will really wish you took care of it when you had the chance.

I would go to the ER or a walk-in clinic. There's actually a deadly infection going around the COUNTRY. The articles I've read describe something similar to what you've described. Especially the part about it not healing. Some hospitals are seeing 1-3 new patients with this a DAY! (I read that about San diego and Chicago, amongst other cities)

Go to the doctor, because they need to check you out and put you on anti biotics... something similar happened to me once in Miami, and they had to lance the wound and drain it (yes, nothing more fun then lying on a table while a room full of people try to squeeze pus out of your ass) and the infection was so sever I was on WICKED strong antibiotics... your body should have definitely fought this off by now! After you promised me you went to the doctor, I;ll tell you how I covered it up!
