Hey i am trying to figure out rights as a stripper i know thatsounds weird but can someone help me out???
In what context?

Well, lets see, if the rights you're asking about are legal, you have the right to tell your side of the story even though none of the local cops / judges / jury members will believe you. You have the right to pay thousands of dollars to an attorney in an attempt to prove your innocence, or the right to accept legal help from the club's attorney in exchange for a de-facto 'guilty' and unappealable plea bargain arrangement that gets you a sex crime listing on your permanent record.
If the rights you're talking about are labor related, you have the right to be fired for any damn reason the clubowner wants to invent. You have the right to quit and not be hired at any other club in town where the new clubowner knows your former clubowner. You have the right to be fired for refusing to pay quasi-illegal stage fees and mandatory tipouts.
On the other hand, you have the right to work at any club you can get hired at, you have the right to walk out any time you want, provided you bear in mind the consequences that Melonie mentioned. In short, you will most likely have more independence as a dancer than as a 9-5 worker, depending on your club(s). Besides that, you have the same rights as any other human being on the planet.
"Seeing the landscape at this superficial level only captures its boring uniformity, not allowing you to immerse yourself in the spirit of the place; for that you must stop at least several days."
~Che Guevara, "The Motorcycle Diaries"

You have the same rights as every other human being on the face of the planet. Getting people to respect those rights either individually or on mass, that's another story...
Keep in mind it cuts both ways, when they fiddle things to their advantage they blaze a path for you to take something from them also. If it doesn't look like your going to get what your entitled to straight out obtain compensation by stelth, but if your up for a fight try contacting your local union.
Also, and this goes along with saying you have the same rights as any other person on the planet, and of course is much more basic than talking legal issues here...but one a lot of strippers, at least a lot I know, tend to forget they have....
You do have the right to say no to guys trying to touch you when giving them a lap dance
You do have the right to say no to extras in the back room
Stuff like that...those are little rights compared to legal issues and such, but huge rights when it comes to self respect and your own personal happiness when working

true, but you also have the right to earn no money when other girls will give customers the contact / extras they're looking for and you won't.You do have the right to say no to guys trying to touch you when giving them a lap dance

Melonie that is so funny and so true at the same time.![]()
All jokes aside, dancers who are actively seeking clubs to work in where guys will give them wads of money for no contact are not facing reality.
Look but no contact = very few guys willing to part with their money.
i think if you are really worried about it, try to find/google legal cases in your home state that are related to stripping. the legal system is run off of precedent and if a case was settled one way a similar case will be settled the same way, assuming you or your lawyer speak up and mention that there IS precednt for the case at hand.
also, call your attorney generals office and ask. you should be able to google it and find a number to call for advice or issues. just say that want to know where you can find information about your rights, i dont think that they will ask for your name or anything if your worried about that. make sure to write down the date you called and the name of who helped you in case you need to prove that you were given offical info.

This is much too broad of a question. Perhaps you could elaborate on the specifics of the situation so we can better help you.

That's the bottom line these days ... unfortunately. However, the super-upscale show clubs still seem to generate the most earnings potential relative to contact level. Doubly unfortunate is the fact that the super-upscale show clubs are typically very picky about the dancers they will hire (meaning that some 8 out of 10 dancers won't be allowed to work in this league), and also the very high local costs of living in cities that can support super-upscale show clubs usually 'eats up' a large share of the super-upscale show clubs' dancers' higher earnings. All jokes aside, dancers who are actively seeking clubs to work in where guys will give them wads of money for no contact are not facing reality.
