Oh.. Just a side note, Tart.. I LOVE your avatar and siggy pic.. That shade of pink is totally your color, it's perfect!

Never heard of "Strangers with Candy".![]()
I want to have sex with Steve Carell!!! Funny men turn me on. I've also been hearing this is one of this years best.
AND I was thinking the exact same thing Rhiannon said. You look really pretty in your avatar pic.
I am gonna see this movie soon, it looks so funny! From the previews it looks to be funnier that" strangers with candy",,am I right?

Strangers with candy is sorta a cult thing. Im a big fan of amy sedaris. Its her lil creation but if anyone would like to hear all about it...im so for teaching lol.
Little miss Sunshine ..rhia just go. dont even ask..just go damnit. Trust me on this one
and thank you guys. Its a hoodie my boyfriend designed...
OH and its funny but its sorta ..it makes you think. its a touching movie. they keep pushing that its just a comedy but I see it as more then that.
Dude, I have nightmares where I'm like Jerri Blank, back in high school because I left early & became a "boozer & a user."
& I want to f*ck Mr. Jellineck. LOL
I saw it. It was sweet and Alan Arkin is the coolest grandpa ever on film and in real life!! His character so rocked and was so funny!!Originally Posted by Tart
(off subject sort of), I work for the writer who wrote "Step Up" the dance movie w/ Channing Tatum. It's sweet sort of "Flashdance" meets "8 Mile" and the actors do their own dancing. (Shanmeless plug) Go check it out! The more the income grows the more work I do with the awesome writer/producer, the more $$$ I make in a job I love.
(I still love dancing part-time though)![]()
^^ You'd have to nail me to a chair in order to see a movie that imo is just a reguritated film that is done every year about some couple in the bronx that fight diversity to dance. Every year they come up with one. Typically though its based around racial tension ( like westside story.)
I'd only see a dance movie if zombies and dildos were involved.

Yes it would be have be either a troma film or a john waters .
My brother called me up yesterday and proclaimed this is the BEST movie he has seen in a long time. He called me across the country at 1am to tell me this. He said he and his gf totally loved it and I HAD to see it. I "HAD" to.![]()
hey what was that peter jackson movie with the fucking rabbit puppets and one of em was shooting herion? HOly fuck that movie was insane and sick. I think the puppets were fucking in it too...
Dude ..I was sober when I saw that. And when it was over I felt like I had just went on the worst acid trip of a lifetime.
*bump*
Saw it last night with my bf and we LOVED it. It's been a long time since a movie made me laugh so hard. But it's definitely bittersweet. If you have a dysfunctional family you have to see this movie.
Little Miss Sunshine is better than the same old Hollywood crap that gets regurgitated into the theaters every year, but Stangers With Candy is WAY funnier. It has to be the funniest film I've seen in years. Stangers is one of those movies where you want to quote every line later on to your friends. Sunshine starts to drag so much you can take a nap until the ending saves it from mediocrity. I highly reccommed everyone see STrangers!!
I recommend strangers..sunshine and clerks 2.
Strangers though is more for people that "get" the jerryblank ( florrie Fisher mock) . its a very "fan" based movie. God bless jerry blank.
Sunshine was very well written as far as scripts go.

Sunshine was very, very funny. There's a guy who mopes around in all my philosophy classes, and has this thing where no matter what the discussion is about, he'll just raise his hand and say "God's dead. Fuck the meek, will to power, etc". I can't wait to go back to ethics class this week and say "hey Nietzsche guy, you were hilarious in that Steve Carell movie".
Loved, not liked-- LOVED this movie.
"I don't love you for your brains or personality. I love you because you're beautiful."
SO fucking hilarious.
Liked Sunshine.
Alan Arkin was, indeed, a cool grandpa, with useful advice about drugs: Don't try this shit when you're young, wait till you're old and know you're gonna die. Oh, he also advises his grandson: "Fuck lots and lots of women."
Saw this with my aunt. Really cute movie!!
I am a little late on this one. I saw it in the cheap theater in Tucson with some friends. We were laughing out loud! Olive is so cute! This movie is nuts!
I loved it too! It was one of the best comedies I've seen in years. All the actors were excellent, and it was such a terrific script! My grandmother hates comedies but I insisted she see this one a few weeks ago, and she's still laughing about it. That stage performance at the end... lordy.![]()
My man and I both loved this one. As for Clerks 2, the only part I loved was when Jay did the reenactment of that guy from Silence of the Lambs. I played that scene over a few times! Haha. Little Miss Sunshine is great. Anything Steve Carell is golden!
