Hmmmmmm... jobs I've held. Wow there was so many piss-ant and meaningless jobs before I dicided to be a DJ....
...and then when I was 20 I dicided to become a S/C DJ. At the time it was all about the fact that I would be paid to look at half naked women and play music for 8 hours. (Oh to be that naive again!). 13 years later (God has it been that long?)... It's just a job. Insted of looking foward to seeing half naked women, I look foward to that paycheck every week, and the tips every day.
- Burger Flipper (Mickey D's 1st job @ 14)
- Various meaningless tasks performed at many fast food establishments throughout the Denver metro area. (That pretty much covers my fast food career.)
- Telemarketer
- Day Labor/Construction Clean-Up
- Bartender
- "Cemetary Landscaping"/Gravedigger (That was interesting! Did it for 2 summers.)
- Valet
- "Floor Host"/Bouncer (Then I was promoted to "Cooler" which is the Head Bouncer. Big Whoop.)
- Security Officer (Yup, I was a Rent-A-Cop)

[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
These are the jobs Ive done in order from my first to current.
Caterer
Busser
Houskeeper
Waitress
Telemarketer(4x)
Stripper
Pawn Broker
Bartender
Damaged Freight Inspector
My job history is long, boring, and dismal:
- restaurant dishwasher, busser, and occasional waitress (7months)
- McDonalds (nearly 2yrs!)
- grocery store cashier (1 yr)
- retail (cosmetics sales) (8months)
- telemarketing (2 months then they fired me)
- waitress (2 months then went away to college)
- math tutor (one of the only GOOD jobs I held during college; 4 years!!!)
- movie theater (one of the worst jobs ever; 2 months because I was underpaid and the only double-major college student working amongst idiot 14-yr-olds for the same pay rate)
- retail (folding & putting away clothes at Target, how pointless; 2 months b/c they interfered with my schoolwork and always forced me to stay late past closing)
- restaurant cashier/ice cream slave (2 months because they interfered with my schoolwork to the point that I lost more money than I made)
- more retail (folding & putting away clothes; 2 months)
- even more retail (this one was actually fun, it was at a costume store but was only temporary; 2 months)
- server at a low-end pizza restaurant (2 months; couldn't take it anymore because the coworkers were more gossipiy/cutthroat than dancers and they hated me for not being a drug addicted slut like they were; the chain now went out of business! haha)
- deli clerk (aka deli mutt, as my friend M--k calls it; 2 months before I went across seas for study abroad)
- freelance model (off and on for a few months; I turned to modeling because I was so tired of all the bullshit from the low-end retail/deli jobs! this job was one of the few FUN jobs!but when I left college, the hours were too short and the commute too long to keep up with it)
- retail clerk (2 days! they paid me a SHITTY wage and weren't even upfront with what I was being paid, gave me horrible short little hours, and my slacker friends were some of the supervisors! made me feel really life accomplished)
- restaurant dope, aka server-in-training (2 days; I cut my losses early, after seeing how badly run the restaurant was and how dead the business was!)
- deli mutt again (2 months; one of the worst management to work for, and the work was dead boring with no opps for future benefits!)
- retail again (3 months, then they fired me for petty lateness; in other words, they didn't need me when they could pay the holiday temp workers $2/hr less than I was making)
- restaurant hostess (2 weeks; I was making $5.15/hr, and I quit when I got the dancing job and realized how stupid it was to be commuting to the suburbs without a car, for min wage)
Pretty shitty, huh? Then when the last lousy retail job fired me and I went for 2 months of unemployment(except for $60/week in freelance tutoring, but that's not enough to live off of), followed by a hostess job making the smallest money I've ever made in my life, I came to my senses and finally started dancing. I needed money! It still took some time to find decent jobs, but I finally started having better luck lately:
- dancing (going on 2yrs this winter)
- office temp/data entry clerk (1 month; quit b/c it was too much to work this job + college finals + tutoring + dancing, when I was only making $9.50/hr)
- more dancing
- political campaign volunteer (5 months so far! working up until the election!)
- insurance office assistant/trainee (just started a month ago; finally, something that may lead to a REAL CAREER!)
- upscale restaurant server/busser (just started a month ago; finally, a NICE restaurant! and not some barely-above-fast-food chain restaurant, or a poorly run restaurant!)
Haha notice a pattern? The first few jobs that I had, I kept for a much longer period of time than the many short-lived jobs I had in college. I jobhopped a lot in college, because the min wage jobs I had just weren't worth it when I had more important college studies to worry about. They would tell me off whenever I needed to request off days for exams, studying, etc. They didn't understand that I had a LIFE and career goals outside of a $6-7/hr job! They didn't pay me enough to blow off my studies! Plus, I could tolerate a min wage job better at age 14(at that age, having ANY job looks honorable), than tolerating the same old min wage shit at say, age 20 when I had so much more education and experience. Thankfully, my job luck has started to look up. Hopefully it'll keep going in the direction that I want it to go and then I won't need to depend on dancing as much to pay the bills...
