    Default Hair Washing Problem

This just started in the last few days.

I have hair that is dyed black on top and bleached out underneath. Today, my hair has been like this greasy consistency ALL day--It feels like it has mousse or hair glue in it, but I never use either. At the most I use hairspray, which I've never had issue with and haven't worn today.

I've washed my hair three times today, rinsed it out well, and my hair is still a greasy consistency. I conditioned one of those times and believe me, I sat there rinsing it out for like five minutes to make sure it would all get out.

My hair feels sticky, looks greasy.... WTF is going on?? If I try to rinse my hair out one more time today, my scalp is going to burn.

Try a different shampoo/conditioner. I read somewhere that using the same shampoo/conditioner for too long will cause your hair to build up a residue. I use Biosilk every day except on Sundays when I use a clarifying shampoo. Haven't had any problems.

Yeah, I did that during my second wash today. I usually use Herbal Essence brand, without problem, but on my second washed I used my fiance's shampoo and conditioner. I guess I'll stick with it for a few days and see but... Man, this hair thing kinda just came out of nowhere.

My hair gets like that when my hair is damaged from a lot of coloring...I switch to Prell (it's a cheap, extremely string detergent shampoo...do not use it if your natural color under the black is a lighter shade, because it will fade the black) and my hair is nice and squeaky clean

you can try rinsing with apple cider vinegar too. i use it every time i wash my hair. it rinses away all of the conditioner residue and whatever else might be left on my hair and leaves it really shiny and soft.

also, make sure you're rinsing with warm water. hot water is bad for your scalp. and cold water is great for sealing the hair cuticle and makes hair shiny and smooth, but you have to use the warm water first to get all of the shampoo and conditioner out.

The apple cider rinse georgia suggested is great. A claryfing shampoo once in a while may help, too.
