    Default Attitude adjustment

Since I started dancing, my family keeps telling me that I have become a bit more demanding and judgemental. When they think I'm being obnoxious they call me by my stage name. I really started thinking about it, and I think they are right....

Do the rest of you have this problem? I can't seem to help it. I just get more irritated when people don't do what I expect or want, than I used to. I have no patience for idiot students in my classes any more. I'm overwhelmed by the desire to tell store clerks, students, my family, or anyone else who gets in my way to F* Off!

Is there something about this job that turns us into spoiled bitches...or have I always been this way and now have the confidence to show it?

I think the job tends to exaggerate our existing personality traits. Like, if you were or tended to be insecure before, it can make it worse. If you tended to be a bit boisterous or loud, it magnifies that. If you tended to be very outgoing and friendly, it can magnify that. Etc.

Hmmm, I dunno. I've become more confident and assertive since I started entertaining, but I've never wanted to rip a sales clerk a new asshole...

i think it gave me better skills when dealing with the public, although i'm a little more open around my sisters these days, there is definately no attitude.

I am definately more outspoken since I started dancing. I treat the people in my life really well and I expect to be treated just as well back, and I do complain when they don't. Also, when I am used to customers doing what I tell them to a certain extent, then I tend to forget and expect everyone to do what I tell them. For me I think this is a control issue--this is what makes stripping enjoyable for me. I am in control completely at work, and its hard to leave that attitude at work only.

i think is a way besides just magnifying our existing personality traits, it gives us a "no bullshit" mentality. we have to put up with so much crap at work that when the sales clerk is feeding us hhis latest line of bull, we know how to shove it back in thier face. we don't have to take it, we shouldn't have to. really, no one should. but many people don't realize it. perhaps our occupation helps us to realize our worth is a round about sort of way....
