hi
i want to go back and dance.. i have danced before (but only for a few weeks and i had to stop)
just trying to get a good idea of what the clubs are like right now? and if anyone is interested in joining me..![]()

The best place in London to work is Browns closely followed by the White Horse both pubs in Shoreditch near Liverpool St. In North London there are places in Watford, Luton etc but not really any in say Tottenham or Golders Green etc.Originally Posted by tikita

man you are obsessed with strip pubs!!!

I much prefer strip pubs as a customer but also all the girls I talk to tell me that somewhere like Browns is far better to work at than any of the London clubs. I have just done an interview with Alan Whitehead who has worked at FYEO, Secrets, Majingo's ,Traders, Puss in Boots, Windmill etc and discussing the situation in London he said unpromted by me that in his experience Browns was the best place in London. If he has ex Browns girls he knows they will be good looking and reliable and even if they have been sacked by Browns in the end they always say it's a place with consistently good money where you are treated fairly.
If girls tell me the same sort of thing about a particular club I'll certainly tell anybody that asks on here.

I will be soon6 weeks or so.
If i decide to dance at all, it's strip pubs for me!
I want to get me a 'real' job too![]()

From what I know Secrets fixed fees are in the middle range for London { around £70}, the girls I know who have worked there tell me that though the 5 clubs do vary in the main the management and staff are not very friendly or supportive. Secrets also suffers from " mad fee disease" { the need to have too many girls on just to keep the income up} hence the fact they advertise for girls every week in The Stage.

I am in London. Working in the pubs for a couple of agencies, as I am studying full time I want the flexibility. Misha Bliss I would recommend the same for you. Contact me if you want the info.

I've found the fee system at Secrets really good, in that you only pay 20£ of the house fee up front, and the remaining 50 is only paid dependent on what you earn in the night. Much nicer being minus 20 than minus 70 if it goes horribly wrong, and the dancers on the floor on any given night never seem to be too much (although Thurs it's loads as there's money to be made)...
As for management, not sure which of the 5 your referring to but I can safely say that the housemum, and managers at Hammersmith are absolutely fantastic and really do their best for the girls particularly the housemum, who is a former dancer/burlesque and west end dancer/performer, she's absolutely fantastic. That's the consensus at Hammersmith, I've heard some complaints about some of the other Secrets locations, but Hammersmiths a good place to start IMHO.
Secrets audition process is basic: get on stage for a minute or so and get down to your knickers. All different shapes sizes etc... More important to make an effort in your appearance than to be thin and big titted!
PM me if you want more info![]()

Niki {Secrets used to use her photo}who used to work at Hammersmith and Finchley Rd a few years ago posted on the old Mypole site saying she was fed up with all the rules, variable money, and the bitching between the girls. I suggested Browns and she has worked there ever since and has told me it's 10 times better in every way. She had worked at Spearmint TCR and Stringfellow's as well. The big problem there is getting taken on in the first place plus the stage show needs to be better.Tyke

I work in Secrets in Euston, I like it.. I used to work in Stringfellows and it's obviously not as glamourous and classy as that but it's more chilled out and relaxed about shifts, dancers are more friendly - house mum Marsha is really nice. Auditions are Tuesdays at the Hammersmith branch, really dress up and wear lots of jewellery they like that.

I'm always interested to hear reviews of London clubs by dancers, maybe the view I have heard about Secrets is out of date.
