    Default Audition: What to wear... (not on stage)

    NO, no, no..I'm not talking about what you wear per se when you audition on stage, but more so what you wear walking into the door.

    I once had a manager not allow me to audition, and told my friend *who was a dancer there* to tell me that I was dressed to conservatively to be "serious" about wanting a a job at their club.

    So the next club I went into, I had on booty shorts, and a halter - got hired too.

    So do alot of you girls were mini, tight clothes when applying or do you just put on something nice and presentable?? Just curious.

    I just wear jeans and a tank top and have my bag slung over my shoulder like a continental soldier. What do they want from you??! "Shit, she doesn't dress slutty enough in public, she's not serious about being a whore!!" o.O;

    That's retarded. I wear jeans and a shirt. Usually a tight, figure-flattering shirt, but it'll still be a Tshirt or tank top. Nothing "slutty". And tennis shoes. If they want to see me dressed slutty they can let me audition dressed in my stripper garb.

    Geez, I went to the stripper agency right after a job interview in a black suit...and still got hired. If anything they were more impressed.

    My first time auditioning, I walked into the club in an old pair of black overall pants and a t shirt (and got hired). I think it just depends on the manager at the time and the mood he's in. I definitely wasn't lookin' "stripper"! LOL!
