What is this anti-americanism I am getting from you? You don't want to talk like us! You don't want to live with us! You don't want our citizenship! Wha!(j/k!)

Hahahaha. I've decided to keep my citizenship to America mainly for travelling purposes. I'm gonna hate doing my taxes twice though. Shit.
I just wanna know if my credit score is gonna matter when they do their research on me for immigration.![]()

it will be looked at, as well as your 'assets and liabilities'. After all, the US gov't doesn't want LEGAL immigrants to be a burden on the social welfare system LOL.

Will it make a large impact on my citizenship? Or will that not really matter because of the relationship I have with an Aussie? Just how important is it to my acceptance?

I think they'll look at it in terms of making sure that you are not trying to "outrun" anything in the US. But, aside from that...I don't think it really matters. I mean, people with NO credit have been legalized in the US...so I don't see how having good/bad credit could prevent you from getting citizenship. Especially if you are not trying to, say, outrun the IRS for back taxes or anything like that.
I have two citizenships and my credit in both countries has remained entirely separate. Canada doesn't even have SSN, rather SIN (social insurance number) Entirely separate. I have 11 family members with dual citizenship and credit was never transferred or relevant with any of them.

^ It's different CREDIT entirely?! That makes vague little sense but I don't know. o.o Aussies don't have a SSN either, but they do have credit.
Thank you though.![]()
