    Default Frequenters in the Clubs

Do you guys get a lot of local regulars that come in to your club and some in the surrounding area and they just start gossiping and naming names and talking about other dancers??? These are the guys who usually sit at the bar and don't buy dances... I think its funny bc, they probably get a rise out of it and feel special with the gossip they have.... Do you guys know what im talking about... Theres gotta be a name for these types.. its almost as though these types have no life and love dancer drama.. They live and die for it.. haaa.

Oh sure. Since this is a high tourist area the locals think they are something special sometimes since they "know" all the dancers by name(even <gasp> some of their real names).
I see this more in Key West then here, just because of the sheer VOLUME of clubs here.

Some buy dances, some dont. Most will at least buy you a drink and give you someone to talk to(or vent to if it's been a bad night) whenever you get bored, or tired of working the floor.

i guess, just like a reg. bar(think Cheers) they get a sense of belonging somewhere. And a bonus since the "friends" they make there they get to see naked!

They put the P in PL.
And add an extra dose of L.

    PL = Pathetic Loser

Many dancers (wrongly) assume that they are safe people to talk to when the club is slow. But really, ladies, they want to fuck you like every other man that walks through that door. They are waiting for the right opportunity.

It's sad that they don't have real friends to hang with.

It's sad that they prey on the new girls.

It's sad that they are so socially inept that they don't understand that by not paying you, they are disrespecting you.

    Dingleberries?
I get the whole someone to vent w/ thing, but then again, when girls do this, that's how they get all the dirt for their gossip. They're good for the bartenders, but they waste my time.

Oh , I never delude ,myself that that isnt their main purpose in life. But since it isnt going to happen...when I'm bored, at least its someone to talk to and buy me a drink.

And I know full well they arent going to pay me when I make the choice to sit with them...they usually do tip well on stage though, and theres always the guy who sits at the bar giving backrubs..one of those in every club(and sometimes I can REALLY use a massage). So I could sit in the dressing room by myself when it's slow and get nothing out of it. Or I could sit with a club reg. and get a drink and a laugh and recharge myself to work the floor again. At least its making them worth SOMETHING and not be quite as much of a waste of space!

I guess it depends on the area and the guy. I wouldnt sit with the club reg who was constantly trying to get my number, etc....that would just annoy me. But if they arent being an ass...and I have a few minutes to spare..sure.

edit: it also makes you look busy and popular if you are always sitting talking, laughing, and drinking with a "customer". the other guys dont know he comes in all the time...he just sees that another guy likes you.Better then sitting alone or with other girls looking bored!

I actually never "vent" gossip about the other girls. Just that my feet hurt, or it's been a slow night,etc...

cameron makes a great point about sitting with guys instead of looking bored with the girlies!

There is one name I have for them, "Gay". They look like men but they act like women. Not to say all women gossip but it does tend to be a more feminine trait.

I can't stand mean spirited gossip........from men or women.

Oh god one of my biggest pet peeves when i was dancing were the pl's that think they "know" all the girls and these guys tell all there equally pathic friends about it like they bare so special. ahh i really hated that i thought it was annoying and sad. The sadder part of this is at my home club these guys were the dj's and the bouncers. lol

It seems to me that there are different types of "club regulars". I like to be friendly with everyone, and I have gotten to know quite a few. There are those that sit at the bar, watch tv, or talk to the bartender, and generally ignore the girls. There are those that don't buy dances but are always willing to buy you a drink or light your cigarette. There are the regulars that pay most of the girls to sit and talk and keep them company. There are those that are friends/dating with someone that works there. But seriously, it is the guys who come in there and waste your time with nonsense and say weird things that really get to me, too.

hmmm... well this is very enlightening, I try not to be one of these CUSTIES (love the term). when I sit with the girls its not usually for their number or whatever. For example when I was married and took my little bro to vegas for his 21st he wanted to see the VIP room at the club so i said ok you only live once and the bouncer told me it took a $150 bar tab and then some 50 or so for the cover for the VIP well I had the cover easy but discussed the $150 alcohol tab with the bouncer and he informed me that it could be food as well so i said screw it and my bro got dances from like 7 girls ( the last of which i actually pd by the hour) and i ordered a ton of food and shared with all of the staff including the bouncer and when I left the bouncer gave me a card to get in the VIP room free the next time he said it was because some of the dancers told him that i not only shared food but i gave them money while they sat there and chatted (Hustled) which I do b/c the girls are working its part of the job and if they are hustlin for it even if i dont get a dance they still took the time to hustle and i tip for that.

Question: what is the deal with the name game, why is it that guys want that little secret? me i had a dancer almost kick me because we were at a dance club having drinks and i had never heard her real name so i almost introduced her to a friend with her stage name but she stopped me and told me next time she would kick me.
