    Default Tucson Labor Day Weekend??

Thinking about traveling to Tucson from Phoenix to work a long weekend. I haven't worked in AZ before. Do you think that this will be a good weekend or should I wait until it gets a little bit cooler. Also, are there license requirements? What about earnings potential on a weekend night (a range or number of dances a shift is good info too - don't want to be rude).

Generally speaking, long holiday weekends are not good times to work. Lots of our spending customers are doing the family thing instead of chasing boobies, and most the others are out partying or travelling.

I never do a work trip on a holiday weekend - it might be ok if you're staying home, but if you're travelling, you have to consider the travel expense, which means your profit won't be that great. If you are merely travelling for a vacation and want to make a few bucks to help pay for the trip, that'll work. Otherwise, if you wanna dance over Labor Day weekend, do it at home. (Besides, money is much better in Phoenix than Tucson...)

I'd agree...Although I had an excellent experience working at TD's East in Tucson granted not on a holiday weekend. No license needed!

Labor Day weekend = family weekend

Plus it's still kinda slow around here anyway, even with school back in session. I'd hold off for a month or two or go up to Phoenix instead.

Getting the license is no big deal in Phoenix. It takes about 15 minutes and costs $25. I agree that if you are already living in Phoenix, why do you want to drive 110 miles to Tucson?

Holiday weekends won't bring out the older target strip club customers as many of them are out of town or with family and can't get away to the clubs.

You may find less dancers to compete with this weekend, but I would suggest you get your license tomorrow, get hired somewhere in Phoenix, and work there. Why use up a 1/2 tank of gas and have to pay weekend motel rates, to travel somewhere where the dances are cheaper, and the clubs are slower than normal. If you work in Phoenix and it's slow, at least you will make some profit since you live there, and have no motel expense, right?

Thanks for everyone's advise. I will try it out in a few weeks, like towards the end of September. Will let everyone know how it goes. Does anyone here know what the earnings potential is in Tuscon? It looks like the dances are under $10... wondering how the volume is in terms of dances?

I work here in Tucson. I find it is a lot easier to get dances because they are so cheap. A guy has an easier time throwing down $10, then $20 or $30. It just means you have to do more, but they are easier to get so it works out OK. Most clubs have a VIP area where you can charge $20 or more. You can use the $10 dance as a way to get them into the VIP area.

    Good luck!
