Do any of you use body make up?

I am 38 and have to grown kids. I am thinking of getting into dancing at a loacl club. I am so very nervous and excited.
My big concern is stretch marks. I don't have a tonof them thank goodness. But I have a couple that I can't really hide while taking my clothes off.

    Thanks for any input.

sally hansen's airbrush legs ($7 at walmart) is excellent for that sort of thing, it also makes your legs look really nice.

yeah, it doesn't affect that at all.. the only thing it might do is stain any white clothing (only if you don't let it dry completely before getting dressed).

I love that stuff! I have a really bad burn scar on my leg, and that covers it up so well. I've also used the darker colors for a "tan" at a photo shoot. It worked really well.

I would not worry at all about stretch marks. Most girls have them and with the dim lighting in most clubs the custys can not even see them anyway. Good luck to you! Oh, and on a side note most older dancers do extremely well.

That's what I use, too. I'm 36 and it helps even my skin tone in bright light settings. Don't use it in a club where grinding is expected, though. It will rub off on your customer's clothes. I like to wear fish net dresses, stockings, shirts and body stockings in a club where contact is expected. It is totally see through, yet conseals flaws nicely.

good luck girl! I'm your age, have two kids, and danced for the first time ever in July. Word of advice, be sure to have your endurance up. 8 hours on those shoes really kills you.

I would like to thank everyone for the advice.

I thought that maybe this was a dumb question for me to post, but I had some really good response. I love this place, there is so much information in here.

I think some of the coolest people hang out here. I have learned so much already. Thanks

I don't go in the sun, and in the early 90s, when I danced full time, you pretty much had to have a tan. I painted on not only a tan but the white suit marks every night--after a couple months of doing it I could do my whole body in about ten minutes. A little bronzer smooths out a lot of "flaws," and the lights in most clubs are designed to smooth out skin textures as well.

I would definately go with Sally Hansen...the stuff works great on blending the stretch marks in. If it will make you feel more confident.
Honestly, though, I only used it for few nights, then stopped. I like to wear white b/c of the blacklights. Trust me, in most clubs, you really can't see the stretch marks on the floor or on stage, I wouldn't worry about it at all. My entire ass is covered and guys compliment me on my butt all the time!!

A good tan helps hide stretch marks, from what I have heard, and also you can use Dermablend. You can get Dermablend at most department store make-up counters. It is waterproof and it doesn't rub off onto guys clothing. I use it to cover the bruising on mylegs that I get sometimes from floor work, because I am anemic so I bruise easily. The stuff is awesome! You set it with a dusting powder and it stays put for hours. What I did was I bought two shades - one lighter and one darker - of the Dermablend, then when I tan, I can alter the color by mixing a little bit of each shade together. It also works wonders to cover up under eye circles, pimples, bug bites, etc.
