Default How to Start a Conversation Effortlessly

Great article I found which should help any of you newbies who were shy like me first starting out.

That's a great article for some who've been doing this for awhile, too!

And keep in mind that some people are either unfriendly or painfully shy so getting them going might be nearly impossible. Thankfully, most folks will open up to genuine warmth and interest even from total strangers.

the best part of that advice is to -really- listen. sometimes it can be hard, but if you really pay attention to what a guy is saying and can remember details for the next time he comes in, you can hook a regular. guy's always seem to be impressed when i ask "how was your trip to north carolina?" or etc. next time i see them.

now.. if only i could remember names. lol i seem to be able to remember everything but names. maybe it's because names are common and stories are more specific.

very good advice. also, by carefully listening to a guy, you can find out how to relate to him and make him comfortable with you. for example, does he prefer humor, is he shy, in which case you might need an icebreaker, or does he seem to want a more aggressive girl? when a guy is comfortable with you, he might not feel like you're "hustling" him, or giving a "wanna dance" line. plus what penny said about remembering the details, as this can help get you regulars, which can make life easier (unless they get freaky stalkerish).

LOL..I'm the same way! I can repeat most of our previous conversation verbatim...but remembering hs name is sometimes impossible! You meet SO many Mike's, John's, Jim's ,etc....every day....thats why "honey" "baby" etc...are so useful!!
People always ask me, did I ever learn anything when I was a stripper? Yeah, I did. One man plus two beers equals 20 dollars.
