    Default Breast Reduction

Are my dreams going to be dashed? I really want to try being a dancer, but I have to get breast reduction for medical reasons. After, I know the scars are bad and they do tend to fade (I'd be using mederma, that scar stuff that's supposed to reduce them) over time, but is a year after a breast reduction long enough? I know I'll always have scars, but I'm wondering since in Indiana you have to dance with pastys, or the electrical tape X's, if I could pull it off and place dermablend over the scars that can't be concealed?

I'm not sure if any dancers on here have had BR or not...
    Just wondering, thanks

There's a thread in the newbies section about body makeup... I'll try to find it, but you can cover the scars with that, and loose powder, then the pasties. You should be able to do it sooner then a year. I have a ba and I put that over my scars. It's been about 3 months, and my scars are great, yours should be too.

Even if your scars are still visible, don't worry about it. I worked with a girl (in a pastie club) that had hers done, and while you could still see them, the blacklights covered them enough that hardly anyone noticed. And those that did notice, didn't care.

Hey MK, I have had a BR. I just use dermablend and have made a few changes in my dancing...no more topless back bends for me. My money never changed and I think in the 6 years since my surgery, I've had 2 customers say something. BTW, if I remember correctly, I was only off work for 3 months. Hope this helps. Take care!
