The argument about how much money you go home with vs. how much is in your purse can go on forever. I think it is a matter of personal preference. Would you like to work less and earn medium, or work more and earn high?
I am naturally a fairly lazy person, so I would say I would work less and earn less. But now that I have been out of work for a year, I see how boredom and laziness eats a person up. Now I have changed my mind and would say that to work more and earn more is a great way to earn $$$ AND relieve boredom.
But the thing is, the grass is always greener on the other side.
When I used to dance, I liked to check out all the clubs around. Sometimes I would go for a drive and end up workng in some boondocks somewhere.. Just for the variety, and thinking that maybe I'll hit the jackpot.
One time I tried out a club in my city where you didn't have to approach any customers and ask for dances. I loved the idea, i though it was so great! i am such a shy person, and hustling has always been my weakest point.
However, there was a catch. Yes, the dancers got to sit around in a private
"lounge" with the other dancers during slow times. The club had hired people to walk around with a book full of pictures of the girls and these employees were the ones doing the hustling. So basically, wqhen your name was called you went and did a dance.... BUT.... the club only gave you $5 for each dance. And I am not joking - $5 - high-milage (at par with the rest of the area clubs), grinding, nude dances.
After working there one night I decided to go back to the hustle and get $20 for my efforts.
So basically, my point is that if you have to work 4 times as hard for the same money then it's not worth it. Go work somewhere where it feels "worth it" in terms of amount of work:money earned.
