I got the following email in my ebay inbox today, regarding a pair of very plain black loafers that I'm selling:
"Hi! I am working on a short film for my film class in college. I have a script if you would like to see it, as well as a video clip. It is about a college woman who drives aggressively to vent her frustration. She gets flunked by her dean because she is jealous of her (the perfect girl). The character is EXTREMELY angry and takes it out on her car. The shoes you have for auction are almost EXACTLY like the ones I need for my film. I was wondering if you would help with the story board. All I need are digital pictures of those shoes flooring the gas pedal, with the engine off, obviously (no actual driving). It's a concept film, focusing on the aggression on the pedals. It also has some women power and social tones to it as well. I know it's unusual, (believe me!) but you would be doing me the biggest favor I could possibly ask, and contributing to a good grade for me!! Let me know, and thanks so much!!! Ela"
I can only imagine it is some foot fetish person trying to get some free custom pics. But do you get as much of a kick as I did out of the wild, contrived story behind it?
I replied that I wasn't accustomed to accomodating fetish requests for free but would happily do a photoset for a fee.
