Um, I would beg to differ. Sure it's not typical, but I've sure seen some 'weird' tats on some chics. To me the stripper look just includes tattoos in general, especially when they're strategically placed

hm...i'm still kind of new so i suppose my two cents should be taken with a grain, but ...

i stand out at my club, but not in an alt/goth/freaky way...I dance to Matchbox 20, Dave Matthews, Maroon 5, acoustic indie-rock-pop-type stuff (also got away with swing music and stuff like Shpongle and Cirque du Soleil remixes at the first club I started at)...most girls dance to rock or dance music.

As for clothes, i LOVE satin corsets, elbow-length opera gloves, fancy jewelry, sashes, lace gowns (hell, lace ANYTHING)...i love the glamorous look. I feel uniquely sexy when I look like an old-school aristocrat who's just emerged from having rough sex in the closet during the ball, lol. Most girls do the spandex-bikini thing...I've got a bikini outfit and I like it, but i feel so un-original wearing the same thing as everyone else.

Oh, and I'm pale as fuck with dark brown hair...no highlights, no tattoos, no navel ring, no tan. All unusual in my club.

I get some "WTF are you wearing?" comments from other girls (especially on the opera gloves!), but for every snide comment on a piece that I wear, I've gotten three times as many raves from customers

same here! i think i'm the only dancer in my club without any tattoos. it makes me even more exotic than the rest.

in experimenting with different looks the one i find that suits me the most is classy goth: long stretchy slit skirt (black), vinyl bikini underneath, rhinestone choker, starry wrist cuff, red hair, pale skin, pretty makeup (not scary makeup). when you feel sexy you are sexy. as for piercings, i just have them in my ears and in my navel.

Standing out is good! I usually wear themed costumes while most of the girls I work with wear typical stripper bikinis or dresses. For example, I have a pirate outfit and while some people have said it just looks silly and that I shouldn't wear it, I usually make money in it.
