    Default mascara brush

I use great lash mascara that has a curved brush. I have found that since using this mascara with a curved brush, I hate using a straight brush. I just cant get the lash coverage, length and curl from any type of brush but a curved one. So what are the benifits of the different types of brushes? What kind of mascara does everyone else use?

I like the straight mascara wands with the really short bristles- but that's because I can really control the amount of product on the brush and work individual lashes.

great lash is a shitty mascara.

my favorite brushes tend to be ones with bristles that stick close together so you can actually apply something to the lashes. for people who like small brushes/wands i love maybelline's "lash discovery" mascara. you will be astounded at how it makes your lashes stand out.

other great mascaras: from maybelline there's "full n' soft", "xxl volume and length", "unstoppable", "lash expansion".

    almay's triple effect nourishing mascara

    dior: diorshow

^I can vouch for the xxl maybelline one. That one got me more compliments than any other.

Small wands are nice in that it's easier to get in there and fluff up your lashes.

I used to bend the brush so it had the curve in it but now I really like the shorter brushes. I really like Panoramic Curl by Loreal. I just tried the HIP mascara by Loreal also but it has the long brush that kinda gets in the way and it's already gunky after a couple uses.

Hmm none of my mascara brushes are curved- maybe I should give one a try.

These are all the new-style brushes coming out. I wish I could try them all!

The mascara wand has been transformed. From left, the old-style brush, followed by new models from Chanel, $27; Clinique, $14; Max Factor, $8; Maybelline, $7; Revlon, $7; and Lancôme, $22. (Prices are approximate.)
