    Default "Beauty" Supplements at Sephora

Has anyone seen or tried them?

I was browsing their website today, and to my surprise, I noticed that they had 4 pages full of "beauty" vitamins. The prices ranged from $20-$135 and none of them were FDA approved. I checked out the ingredients in a few of them, and they seemed harmless enough, but they also seemed like products that you could get at GNC.

What do you guys think? I'm curious about them, especially the Boscia 'Antioxidant Vegetable Therapy' one.

I would save my money and get high quality antioxidants and multivites. IMHO (and the opinion of a lot of pharmacists and doctors), they're overpriced.

They are convenient because they have some things in 1 pill. That said, my favorite is Super Crusdaer @ Trader joe's. Most of them are lacking in the major vites, so they don't replace multis. I would take multis over those if I had a choice, and include fresh veggies in the diet.

I don't trust anything sold at a place that specializes in harsh, chemically based treatments. I buy from the specialized natural health shops. Much healthier.

You'll pay alot more for the supplements going through skin/beauty companies such as Murad or NV Perricone. They use the same vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that the health food and supplement stores use. It looks like most of the "healthy skin" or "toning" packs can be replaced by a simple multivitamin, joint complex and antioxidant blend. You can pick up those 3 online or in a store for probably $30 -$40 bucks for a few month supply.

I think the supplements on sephora are marketed towards women who have a LOT of disposable income. It's likely a status thing to take those specific brands of vitamins.

^^ I agree, and they also throw in more "exotic" supplements to make them stand out and seem special, but the fact is that for the most part, the amount is too small to do much, so they're essentially fillers.
