Default EWWWW! What's up with this?

Okay, I was getting ready for work and I felt something in the back of my throat and thought there was some rogue food particle left from the last time I ate. So, I opened my mouth and there was something stuck on my tonsil. I picked it off and examined it--it smelled really bad. Then I checked my throat again. There was still something on my tonsil, but it seemed attached. I pushed on my tonsil, and stuff started coming out of it, kind of like a zit. Yuck. So I got it all out, I now have a hole in my tonsil. It didn't hurt and I'm not sick, nor have I had any symptoms of any illness. What the fuck just came out of my tonsil??

It was probably a zit. Or a little cyst. Gargle with some warm saltwater and wait a day or two. If it still bothers you then, see a doctor. But it was probably just one of those little things.

Oh yeah, or you might've burned yourself and it was a little blister.

no it's not a cyst or zit

i get this occasionaly (have for about 15 yrs). it's just your tonsils trying to rid itself of some sort of infection and/or foreign matter (like a piece a food that got stuck in it)...but usually infection, most commonly strep. was it kinda like curdled cheese? just gargle with some warm salt water.

it's really no biggy, nothing to worry about unless you get lots of them, then you proabably have strep

do not squeeze it, let it come out naturally. it will probably do it on or two more times. the "hole" is kinda like a pore in your skin, so think of it that way.

I get those a lot. Turns out I have some delayed reaction food allergies and my tonsils are trying to get rid of the "invader".

Sounds like a cold sore to me. I get them occasionally in my throat, very painful. You'll need an perscription for valerax to get rid of it. Try gargling with Listerine in the meantime.

southstbabe-It's definitely not a cold sore! Cold sores are painful and I had absolutely no pain whatsoever.

I looked up tonsiloliths, and that seems like the culprit.

    Thanks everyone for the responses!
