    Default Karma?

Here is a little story that happened to me last night. Just proof that karma really does exist.....

Last night, one of the girls who has been dancing at my club for sometime (years) pulled me aside and asked me if I had gained weight. It was right smack in the middle of my shift. It threw me off and I asked her why she thought I had gained weight. She told me that it seemed like I was a lot skinner when I had first started (6 months ago). I started getting paranoid. Lately, I have been really self conscious about my weight. Three weeks ago, I was working in Vegas and the manager told me that I had to tone up before I could work any of his shifts again. So even though I may not have a weight issue, the idea has been lingering in the back of my head. Then this same girl told me that the dress I was wearing looked like a moomoo and wasn't flattering on me. She quickly followed up with a "I wouldn't tell you if I didn't love you." What? Huh?

All I could think was, "Wow! Bad timing. Are you trying to sabotage my night?" So I ran downstairs to change my outfit. But for a good half hour after the incident, I couldn't muster up any courage to approach any customers. I kept hearing her voice in my head over and over again.

Just when I was about to give up and saddle up to the bar, the same girl came up to me and invited me to join a table full of customers. Almost instantly, a guy took a likening to me and we went off to the champagne room for an hour. It was just the boost that I needed.

I saw the girl downstairs in the locker room later on in the night and pulled her aside. I told her that her comment earlier in the night really threw me off and almost ruined my night. I told her the timing was off and it took me by complete surprise. Then I thanked her for pullng me over to the table because I had found a good customer who took really good care of me. She was shocked that I had did champagne room for an hour. I guess the guy she was talking to dissed her and she hadn't made any money yet for the night. She was stressing. I hugged her and even offered to go upstairs with her and find customers together.

A little later in the evening, this same girl came up to me and informed me that one of her customers was coming in and she was looking for another girl to do champagne room with her. But she needed a "dirty" girl. I told her that I wasn't a "dirty" girl and that the money wasn't worth it for me to lower my standards like that. At the end of the night, she was all frazzled and had been crying. Her customer came in and well, I am sure you can probably guess that she didn't enjoy herself to say the least.

I was really amazed to not only go through this whole experience but to come out on top and watch karma come back and bite this girl in the ass, all in the same night.
Are you "in" or "in the way"?

I love stories like these. Im sorry I wouldnt tell anyone that they gained wieght even if I was close to them. They can see themselves naked in the mirror and see what has changed or not.
And that "dirty girl" thing she tried to pull was just pure BS to get you to look like one.

Karma IS a bitch. I try to remind myself that when someone royally tries to screw me over. I remind myself they will get what's coming to them.

Congrats on the sudden great night

what a rude thing to say to someone... Weight is such a sensitive issue especially among women.. she certainly deserved to have a shitty night bc of her mean comment to you... That would be AWESOME if she left the club with just enough money for tip out and none for her to take home.

    Oh hell yeah!

I have my own personal cock blocker at work, but whenever she comes over to pull her shit I force myself to walk away. Competing with her will is not worth raising my stress levels.

    Wheeee! I love it!

Karma IS a bitch. Way more of a bitch than I could ever be.

I see Karma at work all the time. That is why it is important in life, as well as in this business, to be a positive person. You put out the positivity, you get it right back.

When girls at work act like bitches, they are only bringing themselves down. And they make themselves look weak and stupid. Which they are. Because they don't get it.

Good for you for not letting her affect you. That's what she wanted. She wanted you to feel upset. Why let the bitch win, right?

Oh, I love Karma. Love it, love it, love it.... I am happy your night turned out to be happy.

From now on, ignore that bitch ( if you ignore hurtful people then they don't have any power), love and respect yourself, love and respect others, and all good things will come to you.

I totally believe in karma when it comes to dancing... The rest of life, I'm not so sure about.

Weight is a touchy issue but an important issue in our line of work all the same. If you are friends with someone and feel the need to tell them they are looking a little frumpy purley out of concern i have heard some girls use the coded message in our club: "Babe your boobs look like they have grown". If your boobs have grown its usually a good indication that the rest of you has as well. Girls dont usually take offense (cos lets face it we all want our boobs to look a little bigger at times) but they usually realise its time to go back to the gym.
Then again lets keep in mind that not all guys like teeny tiny little twigs. I have heard guys on many occasions say they hate girls looking too thin and toned and prefered girls with a bit of shape.
I'm glad everything worked out for you in the end Kittykat. Amen to Karma.

Good, I'm glad karma was swift and effective! I was always weight sensitive as a dancer and a comment like that would have really bummed me out as well. Looks like you were looking a hell of a lot better than she did to the guy that took you into champagne!

I love it when karma does this! This story made my day. I had an experience with a girl trying to steal my BEST regular on sunday, but he dissed her. She bitched me out, and got talked to for starting an arguement (i love my managers). Then, yesterday, a regular of hers got a vip with me for the night, since she wasn't there.
