    Default London and Duboi

I'm going to visit my sister in Duboi at the end of December, but will be making a three day stop in London on the way.

I've never been out of Texas in the winter, and have no idea how to dress for that weather, or even what the weather will be like in those places in December ( though I imagine it's cold?). Please give me advice on how to dress properly for the time of year, and places I'll be going.

Also, any reccomendations on hotels, or great places to check out are appriciated. Thanks.

Dubai is basically a desert. It will probably get chilly at night during the winter months. Maybe pack a sweater and some longs pants, but mostly I would dress like you do in Texas during the summer.

Now, I don't know how the Islamic customs there affect what you can actually wear. That is the big part I would make sure I've researched before going. For the most part, Dubai is a modern country, but it's still located in the middle east so there could be some f#$%ed up stuff you have to watch out for.

London will be COLD and WET. lol. Pack warm clothes for London and bring a small poncho or umbrella. In London (if you are a little homesick), check out the Texas Embassy restaurant. It is a Tex-Mex restaurant built at the site of the old embassy from when Texas was a republic. lol. Do the touristy stuff. It's pretty cool.

    Have fun.

I think the whole point of traveling is to try something new, otherwise you might as well stay at home.

I'm actually going to Dubai in May. Can't wait! I'm pretty much using travel guides as my source of information.
