The average Arab in the street, huh? I hardly think that news story represents the vast majority of people of Arab bloodlines around the world.
Also isn't the Bush family all buddy buddy with the Saudi royals? Hmm. Maybe old Georgy boy should be trying to spread his vision of peace for the Middle East in Saudi Arabia. Oh yes, that's right. He wouldn't want to interrupt that direct flow of cash into his families personal bank accounts that comes from the House of Saud now would he?

Good call. The Irish don't have public maimings and executions either.Originally Posted by aussiepunkshocker

Fuckin eh right!
My confession: I am racist against Arabs. I can't help it. This used to bother me a lot, and sometimes it still does, but that's the way it is. I just can't stand their culture and I have yet to meet an Arab who is not a completely self-entitled lazy asshole. It's like they want the world to give them everything they want and all they ever do is scream and demand more and destroy shit when they don't get what they want. And the men... ugh. I can't help it, I just don't like them.
Oddly, Iranian culture suffers from a lot of the same problems but all the Persians I've met have been perfectly normal people. It's not a Muslim thing, it's an Arab thing.

Wow. I feel so... lucky to no longer speak Arabic. I might get stoned in public forum for it....![]()

... and, of course, red-blooded Americans have never engaged in mob violence, maiming and public executions... ummm, except for this sort of thing:

Oh, right, but that's different. They were protecting the purity of white women. My mistake.
Oh yeah, when not downing beers at my local surf club with my yobbo mates, Im either down the beach wog bashing or in the water attacking people with my board!Originally Posted by lunchbox

Also note these animals did it in the dead of the night hidden away under bedsheets not out in the open declaring it was good for the people.
The fact the court systems also condoned it or turned it's head on it was also wrong - until the federal courts came into play.
And guess what - they ended up with an army in their yard during the civil war. Later one during forced integration they ended up with the army airbourne in their yard again too.
So my question to you is: Where are the "federal courts" in arabian lands? Where are the armies coming to protect people from having their heads sliced off and hands removed? Where is the common outrage?
Oh come on now, I have studied arabic also.Originally Posted by PaigeDWinter

I will say that most of the Muslims I've met are extremely hospitable and friendly people who are genuinely interested in bettering the world as a whole.
And most Arab people I've met are very proud people, yet still good people. Pride is a difficult barrier to overcome when establishing any rapport.
However, most Saudi's I've met who come from wealth are very polite to the casual acquantance, but very viscious and cruel in private.

Nope. Take a good look at the pictures on that site. The lynchings took place in broad daylight, in the presence of entire communities, children included. Then, after the fact, people took pictures of themselves next to the mutilated bodies--note the big grins on the bystanders' faces--and published them as postcard souvenirs. Other people cut off body parts from the corpses, such as hands and feet, as a friendly reminder of the occasion.Originally Posted by Deogol
Nope. There were lynchings during Reconstruction, and they continued until the 1960s. The federal courts did virtually nothing to stop them. The fact the court systems also condoned it or turned it's head on it was also wrong - until the federal courts came into play.
Nope. Lynchings began after the Civil War. Far from being the object of "common outrage", they were largely the expression of popular opinion among white communities in the south--and the north (see the photos from the lynching in Minnesota). And they happened as late as the 1960s--within living memory. And guess what - they ended up with an army in their yard during the civil war.

Where exactly does it come from? I'm serious. I want to know. It doesn't make any sense to me, and i'm not Jewish.Originally Posted by aussiepunkshocker
I can see where it comes from with Arabs. I've had a couple of Lebanese boyfriends, and they DO think less of everyone who is not Arab. They do rape women because they are Australian/ Western/ White. I had a boyfriend who became an ex for refering to my family as "Aussie scum".

Why did you cut out the use of the army during re-integration? Was it not a consequence forced upon these idiots for their actions?
Was not the civil war mostly about maltreatment of blacks?
Was it not the federal courts that ruled on civil rights violations that started the ball rolling?
Are you saying that no where there was an opposing force to their hostility?
Anyhow, the whole point to the post was that in our culture there is an automatic correction circuit or whatever it should be called.
In Arabia, if a mullah says "Jews are ..." - who are you to deny the Word of Allah?
If the book says "Cut off the hand of a thief" - why aren't people yelling out "That's inhumane!" like they do in the US when a prisoner has no TV set?
Arabian culture has a deep seated problem. In the US there were civil rights protesters. In Arabia there are vicious terrorists - almost the exact opposite!
Exactly. I'm not PROUD of it, but I can't help it. Race doesn't matter to me with any other group, but my experiences with Arabs have just been this way 100% of the time (and I mean people raised in an Arab culture, not Americans/Europeans of Arab descent). I can't go against my own experience.Originally Posted by MishaBliss
As for the Jewish thing, I don't get that either because most of the myths that bigots have about us are patently false. We do not control the world, we did not kill Jesus (and even if we did, his death was evidently a GOOD thing for Christians), we do not drink the blood of Christian children, we do not have horns, etc. Are we frugal? Generally yes. Our culture does value education and frugality, so there really IS something to the "penny-pinching lawyer/doctor" stereotype. Stereotypes usually get to be that way for a reason.
