-Stick with Transporter 1 and Transporter 2. The film is actually worse than the two films I just stated.

    The cinematography is weak.
    Direction is terrible.
Acting-gotta love Jason Statham but what a waste of his acting.

The does not recommend this film.

Next film will be a little more specific on the details...exhausted.

Here is some films in the making...if any of you are also familar with foriegn films..."My Sassy Girl" is a korean remake.

Justin lin is working on "FINISHING THE GAME"

Bringing Bruce Lee back into the minds of the people. =)

SANTA MONICA, California -- Since his premature death, he has become idolized to the point where he's mentioned in the same breath as cinematic icons like James Dean and Marilyn Monroe.

His name has become shorthand for athletic prowess, self-discipline and the always-desirable quality of being, quite simply, a bad ass. He is Bruce Lee, and filmmaker Justin Lin is determined to see him rise again -- sort of.

The 33-year-old Sundance sensation-turned-"The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift" hitmaker is lifting the veil on a previously top-secret project that could be described as an unofficial sequel to a disrespectful film that bombed nearly 28 years ago. If that doesn't already sound like one of the most bizarre follow-ups in movie history, get this: It's a comedy.

"It's called 'Finishing the Game,' " Lin said of the flick, which he'll begin filming next month. "It's actually a comedy about denial, more than anything."
    -read more from link.

    &

Elisha Cuthbert may be the new "sassy girl"

-Elisha Cuthbert is in final talks to take the title role in My Sassy Girl for Gold Circle Films and director Yann Samuell, reports Variety.

Cuthbert would play a reckless, brazen girl who turns the life of a small-town guy from the Midwest upside down. Production is scheduled to start Oct. 16 in New York.

Vic Levin wrote the script, adapting the story from a South Korean romantic comedy.

-Starring Adam Sandler and my sexy KATE BECKINSALE! ~

This is one of my favorite films of the year. Maybe because I was by myself? I caught it at the bling! three dollar theater last night.

    Much funnier than presented.
The story was great and well executed because of it's simplicity/predictability.

*the ninja is currently being distracted by what looks to be a hot milf or older lady boink in the library(free-wifi). She's wearing a conservative version of a belly dance outfit?

Okay, back on focus. Back on topic.

It's not a great film in comparison to an Academy but something about it.

I believe it's the message "life is short" and how they portrayed it slightly differently making it refreshing. :

ninja recommends this film when in need of inspiration on where life has taken or taking you.

I have yet to comment on that film yet.

    I've heard mixed reviews

The popular one on this...is it tries to be smarter than it really is...In other words the film tries too hard?

    Paige, bring some input.

    Alright!~~~

Here's another interesting film, story, concept, and interesting director.

    BABEL

Mexican director Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu (Amores perros, 21 Grams). Bradd Pitt

In the remote sands of the Moroccan desert, a rifle shot rings out - detonating a chain of events that will link an American tourist couple’s frantic struggle to survive, two Moroccan boys involved in an accidental crime, a nanny illegally crossing into Mexico with two American children and a Japanese teen rebel whose father is sought by the police in Tokyo.

I thought Hostel didnt live up to it's hype. The 1st half of the movie was Boobies Fest, and the actual violence and gore, when we actually got some, was rather boring.

As for Slevin.... It was amusing. The characters were all quite quirky, but not TOO much. I liked how the movie kept me a bit confused for a while, then started falling into place. I liked the plot, the acting was good, but the movie was just a tiny bit odd.

Tiny bit odd? I'm gonna try to catch this when I can.

As much as I like Jason Statham and his no-brainer action type of fun/film with Transporter I and II.

DO NOT watch this film unless you seriously want to waste your time and/or to find out how bad it is. <--it derserves no more of my typing.

I have yet to see "ong-bak?" Yet, I've heard so much about TONY JAA... but I'm a

I finally saw the "Protector." I was not impressed!!!!!!!!!! I hope ong-bak is much better than this film.

Tony Jaa has great talent but he's no where NEAR or CLOSE to Jackie Chan's creativity and moves/techniques.

Tony Jaa really needs Jackie (creativity)
    or
    Yuen Wo-Ping ( ) <---I respect his fight choreography.

Too many same repetative moves and techniques. Evil or Very Mad

I was really DISSAPOINTED. The only impressive thing I see about "Tony Jaa" is his style of fighting (Muay Thai)implemented in his acrobatic moves.

I haven't seen "District B13" but I would put my money on these two French guys that THEY HAVE MORE impressive than TONY JAA. <--This is from watching the trailer (districtb-13) and the short film clips(google it_ from online.

Ahh Tokyo Drift<--that's my car porn. Personally, the drifting gets old but it's a no-brainer fun film. I met the Director at "firecracker" for the wrap up party of his next film "Finishing the Game."

No one drifts cars with 10,000 dollar paint jobs. Completely ludicrous. Real drifters actually are known to attatch cardboard rather than metal to the frames of their cars, because of the nature of the sport. The leading man is a tree stump.

And Tony Jaa is way better than Jackie Chan, who is worse than Jet Li, who is possibly even worse than Tony Jaa. Jackie can choreograph, but, ehh. Not the best.

I see your rant on fast and furiuos

    BUT

Oh boy, here I go again.

Sex Kitten, you're losing your sexiness!

When you say he's way better, please explicate...referring to attraction?

    As far as everything else...nada.

Tony Jaa has nothing on Jackie Chan as far as skills/techniques.
I must disagree with your pedigree one hundred percent!

The only visible thing Tony Jaa has over Jackie Chan lacks is a few acrobatic skills. Probably the 720/1080 twists. As for jumping off cliffs, trees, ledges, helicopters, etc. Hands down Jackie chan. As far as creativity from sliding into a taxi jumping throw ladders and using any kind of item around him as a weapon-Jackie chan.

Jackie Chan is in his mid 50's and is ripped as hell!!!!!

If you want to give a better comparison to Jackie Chan use...add "David Belle" and "Cyril Rafaelli" to the mix of Tony Jaa.

These guys lack only some Techniques but apart from the rest, they've mastered the art of tumbling/acrobatics. <---better then Tony Jaa in my opinion.

Jet li is so overrated even though I'll see his last film coming out.

Jet li has the best technique out of all of them but as far as physical conditioning/creativity is concerned he does not compare to Jackie Chan.

In the film "THE ONE" you can clearly see his belly flop as he does a certain technique. Why do you think you rarely see him half naked?

But wait what about the film "Hero?" A film that came way after "The One." There is a scene where his back is revealed. His back is well defined. To my knowledge it makes no sense because I know he's not no Jackie Chan. Unless Jet li had some serious training curriculum for the film. AHA!~~~the whole scene is EDITED!~ Right when the camera is close up on his face...the CUT to his muscular wannabe back. Two seperate shots...the art of filmmaking.

Bruce Lee...now I respect him mostly for his physical conditioning like Jackie, but he emphasized on power, more importantly his PHILOSOPHY. He was the PHILOSOPHER!~ and his Charisma and prescene he brought to the screen. WHICH by the way TONY JAA is incomparable to.

Another reason why Jackie Chan hides in the limelight is because he's labeled as a comedian. You can't take him seriously. In general tough guys are not suppposed to be funny.

    It's about perception.

Imagine Brad Pitt driving a simple Mustang Gt. He'll make the shitty Mustang look cool, nice, appealing.

Imagine "Carrot top" driving a ferrari. The ferrari will a bit cheezy with him driving it. Now, imagine if it was Brad Pitt driving the ferrari... that ferrari will look like it's has a thousand horses.

You must know that I agree all these guys are pretty much on the same level (not Bruce Lee)... and you may be right about Jackie being a comedian...

BUT my point about Tony Jaa is mainly that he's so young, so new, so visually unedited (fast film, wires) is why I believe that he has the potential to be greater than Jackie Chan.

    It's all about potential, IMO.

    LAST KISS-starring Zach Braff
"The Last Kiss" is a contemporary comedy-drama about life, love, infidelity, forgiveness, marriage, friendship... and coming to grips with turning 30."

I give it 3.5 our of 5 stars.

    The ninja recommends it!

Just caught this matinee show by myself. It's definitely a date flick.

If you liked "Garden State" you'll like this film.

    Have fun with your dates

    Good direction
    Good cinemotography
    Good acting
    Good music

    Overall GOOD.

    INVINCIBLE-starring Mark Wahlberg.

This film is 4 out of 5 stars in my book.

I love the time period. Well executed! Feels like your there.

    The cinematography shots were good.

The directing was good...it wasn't written with depth so the actors did what was needed for the character. Nothing extreme.

    Acting good.

    Story is exciting and original.

If you wan an inspirational film to watch...this is the film. Especially, since it's based on a true story.

Keep in mind "Based on a true story" is a huge marketing strategy. For example...

TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE. Hmmm, yes, a man similar to that existed...he had everything BUT a CHAINSAW!!!! Kind of defeats the purpose. <--hollywood.

    Back on track...
RECOMMEND THIS FILM especially if you're into sports.

"Invincible" was better when it was "Rock Star." Sorry, just not into cotton candy feel-good flicks like that. I'd rather watch Remember the Titans or something like that, something with some substance to it. There's a place for flicks like Invincible, but it's not a place i really want to be.

Cmon...here you have a joe shmoe type of guy. Someone we could relate to and here is...the opportunity to play for the NFL.

    Remember the titans?

    I'd take
