This is an old standby of mine and I thought I'd share the recipe. It's simple and delicious... good enough to take to someone's house, and easy enough to whip up at home when you want comfort food.
CORN CASSEROLE
2 eggs
2 Tbsp flour
2 Tbsp sugar
1/2 cup milk
1 can creamed corn
1 can whole-kernel corn, drained
1/2 cup butter
Preheat oven to 350 F (170 C).
In a large mixing bowl, beat eggs. Add flour, sugar, and milk, and mix well. Stir in corn.
Melt butter in microwave and pour into 8x8 or 9x9 casserole dish. Move the dish around until melted butter covers the bottom. Pour in corn mixture and bake, uncovered, for 30-45 minutes or until golden brown on top.
Serve hot.

thanx!

I do love their fried green tomatoes! They're the best ones I've ever had. Everything at the Cupboard is phenomenally delicious and they don't put pork in their turnip greens, so I can actually eat them!! I love pork-free turnip greens, my favorite treat ever. I took my boyfriend to the Cupboard the last time I was in town. When I was a kid, we used to eat at restaurants like that all the time but there are so precious few little Southern restaurants like that left nowadays.
