Marasmus ... "Ladies don't fart. They butt-laugh."
Marasmus says, "Oh no, that wasn't gas, it was merely a rectal chuckle."
Marek says, "A friend of mine got punched in the face by a dominatrix stripper about two weeks ago and I thought of you."
I dont get it, why is she so popular?

Hmm...hadn't heard about it, but it sounds like a well thought out plot (for some reason or another).
lonelygirl15 (also known as Bree, thought to be played by an actress named Jessica Rose) is a controversial user at the popular video hosting website YouTube, whose vlogs have elicited mass popularity and speculation as to her authenticity as a real person; it is alleged that she is an actress and that the situations depicted in her videos have been fictionalized as a means of promotion.
It is alleged that the real identity of lonelygirl15 is Jessica Rose[1], an actress from New Zealand formerly of Clyne Management[2] (see "Aspiring actress" alleged to be Bree).
it goes on to say
Due to alleged inconsistencies in the "vlogs", questions have been raised as to lonelygirl15's authenticity.[3][6] Some commentators have suggested that lonelygirl15 may be part of a teaser campaign for a TV show, film, or brand, in development. [7], or that it might be an Alternate Reality Game [8]
Some of the points made are:
* The website lonelygirl15.com, supposedly created by a fan, was registered in May, 2006, a week or two prior to Bree actually uploading her first video. [9].
* Bree has had several fights with Daniel, the boy in the video that supposedly does the video editing, on webcam. However, he still edits the videos and leaves the fights on video to be posted on YouTube. It should be noted that Bree has claimed to edit those particular videos, but it is still unlikely a girl who just endured real fights with her only friend would upload those fights to YouTube [9].
* The lighting in the room, and the quality of the video, are far more professional than would be expected from a typical blogger with a webcam [9].
* The videos could all have been shot in the span of a few days. The only mention of specific YouTube users occurred in the first postings. Thereafter, the only responses to user comments were generic and vague, eg: "Some of you guys were asking about ..." [9]
[edit]
Other speculation
* The fact that her "strict" parents allow her (a 16 year old girl) to spend time alone with Daniel (an 18 year old male who has graduated high school) in her room, alone, with the door shut, seems internally inconsistent.[10]
* When she yawns, one can notice full maxillary third molars; ie, "wisdom teeth," which do not typically erupt until the very late teen years. [11]
* Video #27 "Poor Pluto" was made in response to the recent re-classification of Pluto to "Dwarf planet" status, which sheds some doubt on Brian Fleming's speculation that all of the videos were produced at the same time.
* Bree's bedroom always seems "movie set" tidy with everything in its proper place; almost too perfectly clean for an active high school girl who undertakes projects such as making/mixing cookie batter in bowls on the floor as well as squeeze juicing lemons and mixing with bagged sugar on her bed.
* Another YouTube user, by the name of LonesomeOctober, has started posting videos starring many of the stuffed animals we've seen in lonelygirl15's room. LonesomeOctober's video "Lonelygirl15 Cthulhu Interview" (Cthulu is an element of H.P. Lovecraft's series of horror stories) points out several elements of the lonelygirl15 video named "Poor Pluto" which are in line with Lovecraft's stories. The very fact that LonesomeOctober has come out with such high quality videos, in such a short time, and has no other presence on YouTube, is suspicious in and of itself. As is the username itself, since it invokes both the month of Crowley's birthday, October, as well as "Lonesome"--a word which pairs quite neatly with "Lonelygirl". The novel A Night in the Lonesome October, by science fiction writer Roger Zelazny, is also a story of occultism and prominently features "Familiars", which in the novel are animals raised to human-level intelligence. Purple Monkey, a stuffed toy which appears in both the lonelygirl15 videos and those by LonesomeOctober, would fit the novel's general definition of a Familiar.
* Speculation exists regarding the music choices through out the video series; namely, the use of smaller unsigned bands to score each film. The addition of Band Name, Song Title, and Band website added to each video description further points to the assertion that these films are a marketing vehicle, not for a movie, but rather for CAA's unsigned music acts. The videos are simply a viral method to develop a fan base and following making acts more appealing to large label R&D executives. The eclectic nature of the music – strong variance in style, genre, and tempo, is in stark contrast to a girl who is homeschooled and otherwise insulated from the workings of pop music culture.
* Brand-name products, copyrighted images, trademarked symbols, and famous living people are conspicuously absent from videos, a difficult and unnecessary feat for an ordinary teenage girl and her boyfriend - but an essential part of making a big-studio picture.
* lonelygirl15.com is a very specific domain name and yet almost all of the other domains have been purchased for lonelygirl15 which is a common practice by large corporations and much too expensive for a couple of 16 year olds. Example: lonelygirl15.net, lonelygirl15.tv, lonelygirl15.info, lonelygirl15.name, etc...
Oh hell ya, it's a movie thing.
Ever see a teen girls room so clean and void of friend pictures, unicorns, horse calendars, piles of clothes stacked on the floor and bursting out of the closet and just plastic trinket shit all over the place?
It's a stage set trying to look like middle class america.

we could just lose ourselves in the abyss that is youtube, lazydork, emilena, numa and his crazy fans.
[sardonic voice] You know, I just realized I have a webcam...

^^^^thats an awsome video cherry.
As far as lonely girl i think she looks older then a teen she looks to be about 21.
I've been following her video blogs since most people (including me) thought they were real. I was actually very intrigued by her life. There is also a video on youtube today that actually shows her in pictures with other people. Definitely not an isolated, home schooled little 15 year old, you'd guess after watching it. It's funny though. Everyone is so angry at her, calling her fake and stupid. Wow, as people we really hate to feel duped, huh?
ya i saw some of the clips on youtube with people being all pissed i thought they were dumb. The web is just like tv you can't belive everything you see. Why get so pissed about it.

the creators have already announced on her website that she is fake. www.lonelygirl15.com --> message from creators. was very impressed by all the detective work.
