Rosh Ha'Shana, the Jewish New Year, begins at sundown next Friday. This is one of the holiest days of the year and is supposed to be a wonderful family celebration. Unfortunately many Jews will not be able to be home with their families; they will be fighting and risking their lives for the sake of Israel, the Jewish people, and all of humankind.
At , you can express your thanks and share the holiday spirit. You can send pizza and soda to a single soldier or a whole platoon, and for Rosh Ha'Shana you can also send a traditional basket of honey, chocolate, and honey cake for them to share with their families. You can also send pizza and soda to a displaced family from Gush Katif. It's only a few bucks, equivalent to what you'd spend on a pizza and soda for yourself, but it brings so much joy to these people who seldom hear "thank you" for all the hardship they endure.
If any Jews or gentiles here want to show your appreciation this holiday season, it would be a lovely gesture. Donations over $250 are tax-deductible if you're feeling especially generous.
Thanks, and may you be inscribed for a good year.![]()
